With the BlizzCon 2019 announcement, we wanted to give more details about the WoW esports on offer in Anaheim, California this fall. BlizzCon this year will have two days of WoW esports celebrations, with the Arena World Championship (AWC) Global Finals and Mythic Dungeon International (MDI) Global Finals sharing the World of Warcraft stage during both days of the event.
The AWC Global Finals will host eight teams at BlizzCon: five from North America/Europe, one from China, one from Asia-Pacific, and one from Latin America, all of whom will battle in a double-elimination bracket. In its 12th year and with more seasonal Cups than ever before, the AWC Global Finals are sure to deliver as new and veteran players alike fight for the championship.

Opening Week, as usual, will see the Top 8 point-earners from both the WCS Circuit and WCS Korea fight it out to make the overall WCS Top 8. Create games in ways previously unimaginable with the Workshop! The Workshop is a simplified game scripting system that expands the customization features available in the Game Browser. Within the Workshop, you'll create a Script to add Rules and unique play Conditions on top of the established Overwatch game modes you already know and love. Rules can do many things, like change how a hero's movement and abilities work, modify how players are damaged or healed, or even display text under certain circumstances.
One hot game mode you can create is Molten Floor, where your hero will catch on fire if they're on the ground:

Given South Korea’s vibrant history of competitive gaming, we thought it best to take the Masters Tour straight to its heart—a giant PC Bang! In case you don’t know what a PC Bang is, it’s simply a place that provides computers with internet access to the public that are commonly used for gaming. The IGR (Internet Gaming Room) will host Day 1 and Day 2 of the Swiss bracket on August 16 and 17, while the Finals will be played live at the famous OGN Studios on August 18!
