Here you'll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to World of Warcraft: The War Within, Cataclysm Classic, Season of Discovery, WoW Classic Era, and Hardcore. Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they were implemented, while others may require scheduled realm restarts to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. This list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.

Balance Council on 5.0.14

Greetings from the StarCraft II Community Balance Council! After around 7 months since the last patch, we are happy to present the next major multiplayer balance update, featuring changes for 14 units and 10 buildings, as well as two new abilities.

We feel that the previous 5.0.13 patch has mostly achieved its goals, fixing community pain points around Widow Mines and Cyclone, and slightly helping Protoss players in early and midgame against Terrans. However, the current patch has a couple of more ambitious goals outlined below:

• The first goal is to nerf defensive and camping playstyles for all races, both related to early and late game on the higher levels of play. We will target specific units, buildings and abilities suited for camping, to promote more active gameplay across all stages of the game.

Dev Comment: This round of changes is focusing on preparing for our next expansion: The Great Dark Beyond, launching on November 5 (when Prince Renathal rotates back out of Standard). As we plan for the post-launch meta, our focus is primarily on adjusting harsh play patterns like fast board floods, powerful board wipes, huge life swings, and cards that get end-game cards out too quickly.

Some of these are reversions to prior changes—our balance philosophy remains that we’ll try to make the best changes for the game in each specific patch window and not be afraid to revert changes when they don’t work out or the circumstances are no longer right for them.

The WoW 20^th Anniversary introduces a variety of new activities and ways to earn currency during  the event which can be used to purchase myriad items including iconic Tier 2 transmog appearance sets. We’ve consulted top goblins and tallied it all up so that you know how to earn these currencies and where you can spend them.

Players will also automatically be granted a 10% experience and reputation buff during the Anniversary and can add an additional 10% experience and reputation buff by completing the repeatable “Celebrate Good Fun” quest with Yllana. This buff will not countdown while offline and will be offered to you again once per day when it expires.
