The Great Push Season 2 has come to an incredible conclusion with Aster.Y pushing it to the limit, earning $8,000 (USD) in prizing and joining Season 1 winners Echo in The Great Push hall of fame!

Aster.Y has proved themselves victorious and the best key pushers in the world with a total score of 174 across six dungeons. Over 7,500 teams competed in the Proving Grounds qualifying round, but only six teams advanced to this weekend’s tournament. At the end of each day one team was eliminated, with Mambo Jambo heading home on Friday, followed by Bonedust on Saturday.

As the year begins to wind down, the Hearthstone team prepares for its pre-holiday break tradition: Free Your Mind! Free Your Mind is an informal and voluntary hack-a-thon where members of Team 5 can choose whether to band together on group projects or go it alone to work on personal passions for the final weeks of the working year. The only rule is that whatever you work on has some tie-in to Hearthstone!

Several features and systems in Hearthstone today were born from Free Your Mind projects, such as the option to equip a random Card Back, copy and pasting of deck codes, deck reordering, the offline Collection Manager, the tech behind Battlegrounds parties, your Golden cards appearing as Golden in Arena drafts, and the ability to search for dust refunds in your Collection! There are other Free Your Mind projects that end up improving live game systems and tools behind the scenes.

The Great Push returns this weekend for another glorious weekend. Here’s everything you need to know before the action kicks off Friday, December 10 at 10:00 am PST on YouTube and Twitch!

More than 7,500 teams featuring over 37,000 players from around the world competed in last weekend’s Proving Grounds, but only six teams are advancing to The Great Push Season 2 when it goes live beginning this Friday. Over three days, teams will have to push not only Shadowlands Keystones, but pay homage to the expansion that started it all in the MDI, Legion! Avoiding angry seagulls to push Keystones higher than any other while avoiding daily eliminations for their shot at the $20,000 (USD) prize pool!

The Experimental Card enables the Overwatch team to test out changes that are outside the scheduled patch cycle. This gives us a lot of creative freedom while not having to worry about completely shocking the retail game. We thought it would be a brilliant idea to extend that same creative freedom directly to our content creators and community.
