I'm assuming still no news on firestorm?
There's some fixes coming for Firestorm, but I don't have any details on major overhauls or significan QoL fixes for it at this time.
If I recall, there's some texture clipping fixes, Solo Min Player Count adjustments, and a couple of other things.
Hey any idea if y'all plan on releasing some of the TOW backgrounds by themselves like you did last couple chapters? I need that FG-42 one for my desktop!
Sure man. I'll see what I can grab and will work on throwing them up on a image hosting page - they're not 4K so I don't know if the EA_DICE Flickr will work, but I'll sort something out. (I love them too. I rotate all the ToW Background images out on my monitors.)
Is there a possibility for tides of war xp or is that more of a pipe dream?
As it stands community games feels dead on arrival and I'm worried it will get the firestorm treatment.
I'm pushing for it. Lack of full progression is one of the things that is keeping people away from Community Games (besides the lack of tools).

I didn't pick up BFV during the holidays because I heard that the TTK changes made the game awful.
With this update, would it be worth picking up now on the current sale? I'm thinking about getting the year 2 edition.
I’m not gonna try to sell you the game. If you want to wait and read how the community feels about the changes once they go live, come back on Wednesday next week - we’ll for sure have a feedback thread for the update and you can weigh their feedback into your decision.

Another thought I had the other day, that might help you guys to understand the community and the anger... We really love the game and care about it, thats a strong feeling. If this wouldn't be the case, no one would get upset about it because nobody cares enough. Hell even people lurk around here who claimed to have the game uninstalled. Like trying to win an ex girlfrield back, lol. We all love the game and are upset that decisions and lack of communication and 2-3 basic features are missing (anti cheat / team balance). These things seem easy to fix, and the game deservers it.
I'm sure you and PartWelsh would be much happier if they provided you with more material to work with.
Let's be optimistic about the future of this game. The coming update will lead the way :-)
Except for blatant personal attacks that really have no place in civilized discussion, I’ve always known it’s not hate but passion for this franchise that drives most of the community. Sometimes that passion overflows and emotions get high and comments come out that they generally wouldn’t use.

I get expressing frustration - I totally understand. And I want to answer the “hard” questions, as you refer to them. (I know exactly what you’re referring to.) Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer to share right now. I know that sucks. I know it’s not what you want to hear. That doesn’t make me happy to have to say it.
But Freeman and I are pushing for those answers - that we can share publicly. And I know some of them are a long-time coming. So it’s getting people hot under the collar. All I can say is that I’m sorry I don’t have info I can publicly share right now and I’m sorry you’re upset.

How did I go to far asking for the team balancer?
When you decided to get insulting and abusive to my co-worker and colleague. You could’ve left off the insult.

And yet he claims not to block people.
I did remove everyone from any blocked or muted lists on all social programs for almost a year. Then, around New Year 2020 I tweeted out that that experiment was over and I’ll curate my twitter account better - meaning I would be muting and blocking folks who decided to go too far.
So basically revert but you cant say that without losing from your face so you still maintain some of the changes you made to weapon balance. So it seems like TTK changes made the game better. And now suddenly everyone loves you again. Nice...
Please correct me if I am wrong but from what I read thats what it feels like.
It’s not exactly the same values as 5.0. Most weapons have an extra BTK at range - if it makes sense for them - over 5.0. Plus recoil has been tweaked.
Braddock512 not going to lie. These have been the most exciting patch notes ever. Someone may have already asked but any idea on the size of this patch?

Have you finally fixed the visual bug on the MG34 where if you use the drum magazine you can see the ammo belt clip through it?
I saw a JIRA about that. I don’t know if it’s fixed in this update or next.
