Actually, I did. And they made their decisions. ( I'm not the person who makes the decisions. So, we've been giving them feedback - actually before 5.2 - since the updates dropped and the team made their decision on how to address it.)

I'm just expressing my frustration of not only dealing with Origin for the second time in two months, but also to go through that just to get on a game where the community is unhappy, there is no team balance, there is no anti-cheat, and weapon/vehicle balance is significantly worse than pre 5.0. There is no reason for me to fight to get on a game that barely works and the community's reports are ignored.

I'm certain that most of the community is fully aware that you aren't responsible for what is wrong with the game. Many of us understand what you have to go through and respect that, but making comments like "Not happening." is in incredibly poor taste. This community already feels helpless and we don't need comments like that coming from a CM.

I'm certain that most of the community is fully aware that you aren't responsible for what is wrong with the game.

The daily abusive insults, comments, and posts, as well as the PMs with extremely vile messages seem to disagree with you on that. But I digress.

While the comment I made may not be yet another copy-paste of the information we've shared already (it was said as a reply in the same tone and style as the comment it was replying to) - we've repeatedly (and now, once again) stated that the Dev team (the ones who make the decision) have no intention of a "revert". Back in December this was stated after the 5.2 update, after the 5.2.2 hotfix, when we got back from the holidays, and then last week in the Community Broadcast it was noted that it wasn't a revert, but that the numbers would be adjusted to be closer to 5.0 in some cases, the damage drop-off would be tweaked, etc.

Okay then.
I didn't say I enjoyed 5.2/5.2.2 (I've, in fact, stated a few times that my opinion is irrelevant because I'm just here to take feedback and relay information) - and I didn't say that 6.2 is the silver bullet to fix the issues. I said I'm hopeful that it can turn things around.

Have you looked at the Mods list?
My name isn't there because I don't have mod permissions - I don't remove posts, I don't lock threads, I can't even sticky a thread.

And I don't tell the mods what to do - that's not how this sub is run. I'm just here to post and share info and gather feedback.
Have a good one.

I'm not going to fight with software just to play a game where you people have no intention of caring about the community. The fact that you released 5.0 while a "hotfix" 5.2 was already being finished is unacceptable and then you flat out lie to the community with comments like "We improved the experience that players have when they are being engaged at long distances". If you're working towards 6.2 why wasn't it internally tested to that point rather than dumping a half baked 5.2 on us and leaving? I can't even get a full NA server of TDM anymore but why would I want to anyway? It's just Type 2A. It's easier to find a match on Red Alert 2 now...

I don't do technical support for Origin. I'm not trying to ignore your comment or your frustration with the client. I'm trying to direct you to folks who may be able to help resolve this.

I don't, but I think it's funny that the purpose of downvoting is completely lost on some subreddits.
Especially when downvotes are used capriciously. If something is wrong, incorrect, or violates the rules, heck yeah.
But if someone gives THE ANSWER to a question (and it is THE ANSWER), downvoting it to "prove a point" is hilarious. If I cared at all about Reddit Karma or upvotes, I wouldn't even answer most of the comments simply for the fact I know exactly what is going to happen when I do reply. Many times it has nothing to do with the context or content of the comment.

u/Braddock512 Let's call a spade a spade. The community doesn't like these changes, last year you gave a reason why the devs wanted these changes. For more diverse uses of the guns. But the secondary reason for that was for beginners.

Secondly, the time for the broadcast was too late, I understand that you guys deserve a holiday and couldn't agree more but why wait so long to give some clarity?
Thirdly I like to ask you about the unlocking system that will arrive in the next chapter. To my understanding is that guns are from now on unlockable with your progression. Are there any ways to speed up this progress and so yes how is this not p2w?

And last but not least, why are these 2 problems not getting addressed by you or the dev team: Cheating problem on the pc server and balancing why is it not being implemented like previous games?

We had to get details and the plan from the Dev team. They've looked at data and the behemoth of feedback we've been sending them since 5.2.2 and based their plan off that. Once that plan was decided upon, they discussed it with PartWelsh (since he's in Stockholm) and he crafted the Community Broadcast to give a bit of insight into what the overall plan will be (coming in 6.2).

Definitely a concern I understand and there is a mechanic to the ToW & Chapter Ranks that is coming that will help speed up the process without having to user Battlefield Currency. Those details will be shared by PartWelsh tomorrow (I believe, ...

That'd be cool.

I definitely agree that needs to be changed and PartWelsh and I are pushing for that.

You simultaneously copy and paste "we're listening" and then make comments like this. Get over yourself. Not to mention the recent Origin update made it where many people can't even launch games anymore I'm just not going to bother with this train wreck of a game.

I don’t work on Origin. Contact EA Help if you’re having problems. Take care.

I've been meaning to ask, I really f**king hope this means you guys are going to make LMGs and MMGs viable weapons again. There is currently nothing to punish the blobs of medics running 2As right now because there are no weapons that are really capable of defensive play.

I can’t go into details today, but I’ve looked at some of the damage models (specifically LMG and MMG ones) and range drop-offs for what they’re planning and it looks much better.

But I’m honestly not. It’s a video game forum. At best, it makes me a bit sad for those that can’t have a conversation without resorting to personal insults or attacks, but it doesn’t affect my day one way or the other, really. Because there’s plenty of folks that can make a passionate, even frustrated post without getting abusive.

How do you not listen to any of us but yet trust this invisible data that dice is so proud about that I will say again is filled with cheaters that just aren't getting ban?

The upcoming changes in 6.2 are based on the constructive and informative feedback received.

Personally, I liked HC options in previous titles. If I felt like going nuts, I’d hit HC. If I wanted a less intense experience, I’d play Core/Normal. Hopefully, some of the mutators planned for Community Games can address that need.

I understand that, but what you say here and Adam's comments in that post are honestly more informative than the actual blog post.

I guess I am just confused in this sense: If 5.0 is going to be used as the base for the 6.2 changes, why not revert to 5.0 for the beginning of Chapter 6, and then the tweaks can come in 6.2 later. That way we can all truly enjoy the new content and map without all of this TTK controversy, content is often unfortunately overshadowed by ongoing controversies. Which is always really unfortunate, kind of what happened with wake island..

Update 6.0 was already worked on before the holiday break to ensure that the map coming with 6.0 had time to be finalized. That’s why the weapon balances will be in 6.2.

Hope the weapons are limited to melee only, so we can get new weapons in Totw; I don't this failed in any aspect.

PartWelsh will have more details on how it will work tomorrow.
