I’m not being passive aggressive. Before the holiday break we stated there would be continued tweaks but not a revert. After the break, the same thing was stated. With the Community Broadcast last week, it was also noted that it won’t be returning to 5.0, but will be closer to that (which is not a revert).

And when I do reply with the aforementioned info, there’s aggressive comments, insults, etc (like the gem you’ve just posted). (And none of abusive posts, insults, etc. will change a thing.) And rather than me repeating the same information that has been shared over and over, I shortened it for this person’s snarky comment.

I’m sorry it’s not the change you’re requesting/demanding, but this is what the dev team has decided.

I don't think you're stupid.

I do believe that you won't accept any answer other than the one you're demanding - and that's not an answer I can or will give (because it's not what is going to happen, per the Dev team).

So, I can TL;DR it for you and (of course) be downvoted -

It's not going to be reverted. Full stop. They are going to make changes with Update 6.2 to address the feedback and frustration the community has shared, and will be closer to 5.0, but (as noted in the blog):

In Update 6.2, we’ll be publishing a series of further changes designed to address the learning's based on your feedback and game data. Full details will be shared after we’ve launched Update 6.0, but in short, you’re going to find that in close quarters much of the same Recoil, and Rate of Fire that you’re previously accustomed to will return.

If I had used the term "in-depth details", then you may have a point and that would be fair. "Top level details" mean exactly that - not in-depth (at this time), but the overarching plan for how the Dev team will proceed with the changes they are going to implement in Update 6.2.

As noted in the blog linked, once Update 6.0 is released, PartWelsh will be detailing more of the changes that brings weapons closer to 5.0 numbers, but again, it's not a revert.

That's why I said it's "top-level" details - it's the plan they are going to go through with - and as the blog mentioned by PartWelsh, once we release Update 6.0 (since these weapon changes won't come until 6.2, as noted in the blog), he'll have more in-depth information to share regarding the adjustments and changes. It's not going back to 5.0, but should be closer to it than 5.2.2.

I totally understand what you're saying - I do.

And it will be clarified with the Blog as the blog will have a lot of details on what's coming with Chapter 6, how the TOW will be changing, how the weapons as Chapter Rank rewards will work (and where they're placed in the Rank Rewards).

We haven't changed the name yet - not sure what it's going to be, honestly - and Vince is going to oversee both Respawn and DICE LA. I know the article that came out wasn't super clear, but it's not like DICE LA is becoming Respawn. Respawn are doing their thing, DICE LA will do their thing. And DICE SE (Stockholm) will continue doing their thing.
