You literally told me to reply to the post above you (which I'm currently drafting in another browser tab) and KM indicated I would be silent.
Come on, man.

“The silence” of not responding when I was sleeping at 5 AM when this was posted?

Hotfix 5.2.2 went out December 16 to address some of the concerns. Then I was on holiday and came back this week. I’m waiting, like you, on feedback from the Dev team on what next steps will happen so we share it with the community.

According to /u/Braddock512 if you ask for them to revert to 5.0 you're not giving good enough feedback. They ruined tank balance, weapon balance, plane balance, and the feel of the game. And yet when we ask for a simple rollback to when the game WAS fun, we aren't giving feedback?

Braddock I hope all of your briskets come out dry and grey until you guys revert the disaster known as 5.2.

I agree the armored vehicle and plane balance feels off, something I’ve reported to the dev team before the holiday break and in my community report on Tuesday. I’m hoping to get some details regarding upcoming updates that talk about tweaks and adjustments to vehicles that I can share soon. Example: Iwo Jima and Wake Island can have too many tanks on one side, making it nigh impossible for the other side to successfully counterattack/defend when the mobile cavalry tumbled through. It can get very frustrating as I personally am an infantry player and can run around a corner only to face 5 tanks with their barrels pointed at my face.

Also, that’s really mean about the brisket. ;)

If anyone has any well articulated things to add then just reply

Thank you for the post. Appreciate the time you took to expound of your feelings and provide some details. Am adding it to the feedback to the dev team.

With the whole thing about Respawn taking over and rebranding, will this impact your relation to Battlefield and DICE Sweden at all? I'm not really sure how any of this works, but I'd really hate to lose one of our favorite CM's. Thanks!

When I became the NA CM 4 yrs and 4 months ago, I worked out of Austin. I moved to Los Angeles 2 yrs 8 months ago.

DICE LA (or whatever the new name will be) will be its own studio, but it’s an EA studio so it’s not really an issue. I could work pretty much anywhere.

As far as the franchise, I’m a Battlefielder since BF1942. At this time, I don’t have any plans on leaving the franchise, but may jump into the new games coming out of DICE LA as well.

It’s, let’s just say “not fun” 😵

It's something I've escalated. The land vehicle (vehicles overall, really) need better balance between the teams.

Hey u/Braddock512, I’ll pass along a few QoL things I’ve noticed the past few weeks playing.

Medic: Healing while reloading your weapon will no longer interrupt the animation but will also cancel the reload, has gotten me killed more than a handful of times.

Tanks. I’m torn here. I really like that they are powerful now, I often get to push up and help the fight which is amazing. Tanks are slow and a bit clunky and deserve to be powerful. But maybe AT weapons don’t do quiteeee enough damage, P-faust seems to do 12 damage on average. Maybe bump it up to 16-20 per decent hit?

Also the number of tanks available on Wake Island breakthrough is a bit too many. (I think the amount of tanks on Iwo is just right, there are a lot but the Japanese can focus the LVT’s to get rid of those)

Type 2A: This gun has broken CQB combat. I honestly don’t think it would have been m...

Just a bit of feedback here. I don't think the first point of official communication post-break needs/should include everything you guys have planned. I think the community is starved for some kind of discussion/post addressing the main concerns that have been being discussed since the release of patch 5.2 here and on other social channels. I guess a post that is basically "we hear you" kind of thing might go a long way, as I think the core community just feels a bit left behind (Not saying that has or is the DICE team's intention, just an observation).

Upcoming content is always great, but when the core gameplay experience is being heavily scrutinized, people will have tunnel vision and look past the hard work of maps, weapons, ect. Wake Island was a good example of this unfortunately (although it was and is a great map).

I agree 100%. It’s something PartWelsh and I have chatted about yesterday. Unfortunately, I don’t have anything to share at this time regarding the feedback from the community as I’m waiting on plans/messaging from the dev team on next steps.

why do you ignore this core part of the question?

The OP literally stated that the team just got back into the office yesterday and the Global Community Lead (u/PartWelsh) and I will be working with them to iron out next steps and communicate this info when we have details to share.

So no small talk in the kitchen while get a cup of coffee. Isn't this a bit of problem regarding the overall accessibility of informations? I can only imagen, I main I also work in a few Project each in a other country, and man this can get hard. I even do not want to blame anybody, just think of the barrier of language even if all employees & managers at DICE speak English. Are all Com. Managers from LA for BFV or all over the place?

Also I wish all a happy new year

Since the 5.2 update the server browser has become almost useless. On PS4 you select your search criteria and get a list of servers matching your request. This still works... but when you try to select a server 90% of the time the game cannot connect to the server. Also, the snap to aim assist has seriously screwed up my sons ability to aim. At first we thought it was his controller. But after swapping 3 controllers we have concluded it is the game. He gets massive slowdown in his ability to turn and aim with no target. So while the aim assist helps you aim at targets it seem to have effected general aiming overall. Tank to tank combat is insane taking literally 10 plus rounds between medium tanks and between medium and heavy tanks it takes almost 15 rounds. Dusting is back with a vengeance for tanks... so the netcode is trashe...
