Changing the name of the JPG and the Cyno are both under consideration. Very likely for the JPG, quite possible for the Cyno.

It’s also starting to feel like “Industrial” has long been an unfortunate name for EVE’s light cargo carriers as a holdover from ancient times.

We’ll see though.

For the old “evelopedia” chrons that slipped through various cracks, we fully intend to restore these. It’s a known quantity and will be worked on.

For EON, that’s more difficult because, just being as forthright as I can be, the rights issues are more complex. We’ll see. But I make no promises.

With release of EVE Universe (which is a significantly upgraded and expanded version of the previous fiction.eveonline site) there are many major revisions and additions.

Given the number of changes and additions this post will be a brief overview.

Functionality

• EVE Universe has been upgraded to improve navigation through linking to pages and subsections of pages.

• Floating contents has been added to aid navigation within longer articles (which are numerous).

• Search functionality has been totally overhauled and can be narrowed to specific categories (eg. Chronicles, New Eden News, etc)

• Front Page overhauled to include standard categories but topped with large discovery section designed to highlight new and updated L...

IC Events Organization on IGS

Organization of IC events for RP purposes on IGS is always welcome.

Posts organizing these events should be IC throughout as with any other post on IGS, with the following exception to the general rule against OOC posting on IGS:

IC/RP events announcement and organizing posts may have a short supplementary section that contains OOC details essential to the organization of the event that cannot be conveyed in IC terms.

IGS users should refrain from flagging the first post of an IC event announcement thread for OOC if it has such a section.

This is a privilege extended only to the event organizer in the original post of the thread. There are to be no OOC replies in whole or part on IGS.

If people have questions about the event that are OOC they should use the details provided by the organizer, or contact the organizer by PM/evemail/etc. If it’s necessary to have ...

Additionally, this warning also applies to the “Bosboger Bounty” thread, which is getting very close to being considered entirely off-topic for the forum section due to repeated abuse and nonsense. If it continues over there it will probably be moved to the Player Fiction section.

I appreciate people are exploring the boundaries of RP in the world of New Eden but there are limits and the IGS forum is not a venue for playing out zero sum forum wars.

Looking at NPC corps is very much in the backlog along with other things.

That said, I want to offer the thought that going forward the CEO positions may not necessarily be indicative of who occupies other named, non-mechanical roles related to the NPC corp in question. This is something still being thought about.

Update to Matar article to reflect consistent name for the Pator sculpture known as “The Eternal Flame”. Some minor expansion of the lore on this structure and the “Pre-Collapse Station” are included in this change.

Lore on this sculpture had given the name “The Eternal Flame” or “The Eternal Torch” in the Matar article and in different news references.

After internal discussion, we are aligning on “The Eternal Flame” going forward.

A post here discussed moderation of another thread in a different forum subsection and has been removed.

Discussing moderation is not permitted. As a reminder, posts on the relevant Intergalactic Summit subsection must also be In Character (IC).

Discussion of moderation is as much disallowed on IGS as elsewhere, whether cloaked in “RP” or not.
