Welcome back to another report from the Outer Rim. We’ve been eagerly monitoring the releases this month as we head into the heart of the holiday season. We have some big announcements too, so let’s dive in:

Challenge Tier Rancor
So far we have had 136 completions from guilds that have bested the Challenge Tier Beast. These Pit Fighters have slugged it out with the best and done a combined 136.9 billion damage. Congratulations to our guilds that have braved these nightmarish depths. We’ll continue to follow the overall performance of Guilds in this mode. Additionally we’ve been monitoring the release of Relic 8 and reviewing the feedback as it comes in.

Today’s Update adds a brand new Challenge Tier to The Pit Raid. Veteran guild can face off against one of the most difficult Rancor and earn Relic 8 materials. Guilds will also be able to sim the AAT Raid with today’s update and there are several changes to Galactic Challenges.

Today we are launching a new piece of content for high level guilds who have mastered the other raids, The Pit Challenge Tier!

The Pit: Challenge Tier

The Challenge Tier for The Pit raid requires a high level Guild to work closely together in order to complete. While the rewards will help you power up your squads even further, the event is intended to challenge a guild as whole. As a result, it will be very difficult for a player or even a handful of guildmates to complete. Similar to Heroic Raids, Guilds will have 48 hours to complete this event. Since the Challenge Tier is designed to require cooperation, we have opted for a flatter prizing structure to reduce some of the friction in-guild while still acknowledging degrees of participation and success. In short, every player who participates will earn the new Level 8 Relic Amplifier material, Aeromagnifiers.

Hi Holotable Heroes,

Galactic Challenges will receive a couple important changes in this week's Update, a new Reward Meter and auto completion for previous tiers. The auto completion feature will complete lower tier feats if you manage to beat a higher tier version of the feat. For example, if you achieve a feat in tier V, that specific feat will also be completed in tiers 1-4 and you’ll earn all the Challenge Keycards associated with them.

How The New Reward Meter Works
Challenge Keycards will be earned from completing tiers and feats throughout a Galactic Challenge. The more Keycards you unlock, the better Reward Crate you will earn at the end of a Galactic Challenge, but those Keycards do not carry over from event to event. You will be able to see an exact list of items by tapping the reward bar at the bottom and then tapping on each Reward Crate.

We’re ending 2020 with a brand new season of Grand Arena Championships, and for this Droid-themed season we have two feats with more characters eligible for them than could be easily listed in the feat description. The first of these is Built Loyalty. This feat is for winning a Grand Arena battle using five faithful Droid companions. These are droids who proved to be extremely loyal to their owners and/or counterparts. This includes:

• HK-47
• T3-M4
• Threepio & Chewie
• C-3PO
• R2-D2
• Chopper
• K-2SO
• L3-37
• BB-8
• IG-11

The next feat is Thank the Maker and it requires you to defeat 12 enemies in Grand Arena battles with Droids that keep defying destruction and getting rebuilt. This includes:

• HK-47
• T3-M4
• IG-88
• Threepio & Chewie
• C-3PO
• R2-D2
• IG-11

Today’s release contained an issue that may cause local settings such as audio preferences, red dots on unclaimed quests turning back on, battle settings (auto/special), battle icons, and last visited nodes to reset to default as if it were a new client install.

If this happens, you may have to change the settings back to your preferences. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We have made a couple changes for the Anniversary Update and for the upcoming Raid based on your feedback.

First up is Bronzium packs, these originally were not going to be changed due a technical issue but seeing how important this was to you, the team dedicated some extra time to this and was able to find the issues that were preventing us from updating Bronzium Packs. Character shards dropped from Bronzium Packs will be doubled with the Anniversary Update. (This does not affect full character drops from Bronzium packs)

Second is in regards to the Tank Takedown Raid. With the release of The Pit Challenge Tier (note: this will be in a Update following the Anniversary Update), many of you were asking if we could also bump up the number of events that can be simmed and so we decided to make the Tank Takedown simmable with the release of The Pit Challenge Tier. Our 5th Anniversary is fast approaching and we have some exciting news for this month! Starting with the 5th year celebration, we will be increasing the Shard drop count on most nodes and the currency-to-Shard rate in many stores.

Character Shards are the first big hurdle that new players hit and it’s a hurdle that’s grown over the last 5 years, from around 60 characters at launch to now over 200 (including ships)! Our intent with this change is to help all players expand their collections faster, and in particular to help new players progress in the game. To that end we will be broadly increasing the Shard drop count for many characters. We’re also adjusting conversion rates and prices in the Shard Shop to keep these changes effectively neutral for this store.

Kuiil is coming to the Holotable this week and you may be wondering “how can I unlock my favorite Ugnaught and his pal, IG-11?” The first chance to earn shards for Kuiil and IG-11 will be in Galactic Challenges during this month. Doing both events for one of the characters will yield 40-60 shards in total.

• 11/06 - Kuiil: Droids vs Empire
• 11/13 - Kuiil: Droids vs Empire
• 11/20 - IG-11: Bounty Hunter vs Scoundrel
• 11/27 - IG-11: Bounty Hunter vs Scoundrel

Some time following these Galactic Challenges, both characters’ shards will temporarily drop from Cantina Nodes as Additive drops and become available in Shipments and Weekly Shipments. These Additive Drops will scale off of energy used on the Cantina Node so you can choose where to farm.
