Hey, we have seen those requests and we don't have any news to share back on any immediate changes planned to the Damascus. However, there is definitely a chance in a later update.

Public Test Build Pt.5
Hey everyone, we are in an unusual place with these public test builds where we keep finding issues and fixing them (which is great), but we are unable to just update these builds like we normally would with the normal version of CODM, so we have to push out another brand-new public test build. Please help us once again to do this final sprint of the test. Grab the new download link below:

  • Test end date is TBD
  • Available for Android devices only
  • Download Size: 2 gigabytes, Wifi connection is highly recommended
  • No defined hard limit this time, but we are looking to hit around 40K players
  • Content suited for ages 16+
  • All information and player data collected during this test will be deleted

While there isn't a lot of time to ...

Public Test Build Pt.3Hey everyone, we are back again after our team identified some potentially problematic issues in the second build that we released just a day ago and as a result, we need to put out a new build with some fixes to make sure these issues will not be present in the final public build that releases to all players soon. This is pretty much the whole point of the test for us, so it is both good news but also bad news just because there is so little time left to test. However, please help us confirm and check these final issues and download the new public test build below.

  • Test end date is December 16th (PT)
  • Available for Android devices only
  • Download Size: 2 gigabytes, Wifi co...

Hey OP, thanks for this report and for pointing them out. We confirmed that is legitimately their username, banned them, and also manually changed the username to something generic. We do have tools that are supposed to stop something like this from being selectable, but clearly we still have some more improvements to make there.

Hey COD mobile just want to remind you that the peace keeper with a specific barrel attachment is very broken it has a ttk 160 ms(fastest ttk after akimbo fennec) I hope this gun gets balanced in or it is gonna become a meta

Hey, is that based on the public test build? If so, please please report that in-game when you get an option to through the survey there. The team is absolutely checking for those types of balance issues on top of bugs.

Heya, we reported this over to the Security & Enforcement Team! Thank you for the clear and easily identifiable clip on top of the UID. Should be an easy one for them to check and verify.

The update will be on the 18/19th December PT?

Edit: Thx for the reply :) I always mistake these 2 months for each other xd

Definitely not November haha :P, but it is close to that in December. We aren't ready to give out a date yet though in case it still needs to be moved slightly (which could always be forward or backwards depending on critical issues found).

It's too late now it's already full

This new build isn't full yet (not even close), but you are right that the first public test build had hit the limit. However, you should technically not need a VPN but clearly some folks are still running into that issue. u/Ashish__Vaidya would you mind sharing what region or country you are in?

Hello, u/Cod_mobile_official I'm currently having a bug that says that "download configuration failed . Please connect to the internet and start the app" despite me having good internet connection. Also , is VPN required?

Greetings, VPN is not required and sorry to hear you are still running into that issue we had hoped to fix in this new version. Could you please share what region/country you are in? Also, yes like many others have said doing a VPN to the U.S. seems to resolve this issue. Also, no there are no bans or enforcement on using VPNs.

I am getting problem. The application is opening but it says that try to restart your device or make sure u r connected to internet . What to do ? Pls help 🥺

Heya, that's a similar problem to what a lot of others had mentioned (and we had hoped to fix) with the first public test build release. The common and clear fix for a lot of people was to use a VPN and connect to the U.S. with that, but would you mind sharing what region you are in?

Thanks. It still works that way by using a vpn. Was just reporting the issue.

Appreciate that! We'll check back in with the team again and see if they can take a look.

Fair joke :P, but we give out all base functional weapons for free. Something we implemented a long long time ago in order to make sure that free/paid mix felt balanced and purely cosmetic. It is just a damn fine looking weapon.

We agree! Silly story to share about this, but when our team who makes all of the art that goes out on social media or in the community updates saw this default skin we thought it must be wrong because it had so many interesting details and colors. Not to say other base/default weapon skins look awful, but to your point it is pretty damn unique looking compared to most of those.

I see your point there and from my understanding It’s limited, but possible. Might wanna remember the team that Android and iOS are both different OS, which means, different bugs and performance issues(as reported many times in this subreddit). But anyways, I just think that both OS getting a PTB should be a priority for the sake of bug hunting :)

It is definitely possible in the future, but probably only if we do a bigger public test build that is going for a longer period of time. Thanks for the kind and logical response by the way.

You all found that amazingly fast haha, but yes it is now actually live and stickied! https://www.reddit.com/r/CallOfDutyMobile/comments/kc5fy0/call_of_duty_mobile_december_12th_public_test/

Hope I get to test out the QXR in the coming days, was really looking forward to that

We checked and it is in there already on release! We'll make sure to add that to the list above. Thanks for asking.

u/callofdutymobile Any idea in why it says download configuration failed?

We are checking, but that's not entirely uncommon based on our previous public test build releases. Usually that just means there was an error with the download due to an unstable connection or some kind of corruption, which would then be fixed by uninstalling, deleting the original download, and starting over (ideally after restarting your device). However, we are checking with the team to see if there is something they can do on our end.

Same here

That's a pretty common-ish error unfortunately. Usually those steps we listed out in the post will fix that though, but it definitely takes a bit of tinkering sometimes with using different browsers to download, clearing out the original download that seemingly failed, restarting your device, and starting it all fresh again.

Weird tho, Apple has their own beta testing program called TestFlight and It’s pretty easy to start a test for your app, just need a planned schedule when releasing the application to Apple.

It is a bit more complicated than that unfortunately. We can't get into the specifics, but to do test flight it requires a whole different process (compared to Android) and there are more obstacles in general. Doing these tests on Android only allows us to be a lot more nimble in relation to just simply hosting a DL link, adding content, or changing things last minute.
