Now that we've announced a new date of Early Access for Path of Exile 2[www.pathofexile.com], we would like to give an update on the timeline for our next Path of Exile 1 expansion.

3.26 Expansion Timeline Path of Exile 1 has received two new expansions this year with the ongoing Settlers of Kalguur being one of the most successful leagues ever. Despite the delay, launching Path of Exile 2 in Early Access this year is a very important milestone for us and we've been working very hard to make it happen.

This weekend we’re running a sale on all Character, Portal and Footprint Effects. Take this opportunity to add the finishing touches to any outfit! You can check out the full selection of discounted cosmetics in-game by pressing M to open the store. This sale will run from the time of this post until 5pm on Monday, October 14th (PDT).

Community streamer Zizaran is back with another 10-day Class Gauntlet Event which starts on September 26th PDT. Racers will level characters and kill challenging bosses to earn points and compete to find out how each of the classes fare against some of Path of Exile's most difficult encounters. The event will take place in a Hardcore Solo Self-Found Settlers Event League provided by us with a range of dynamic damage and life mods! The prize pool is funded by the community and Zizaran's event partners.

The Gauntlet will be held as an Event League on PC that is available to all players during the event by clicking "Join" in the bottom right corner of the character select screen.

Our Senior Narrative Designer, Matt, has taken a moment to reflect on writing for the Settlers of Kalguur League. Here are his thoughts.

Designing the narrative context for the Settlers of Kalguur league was an interesting project. This may be the most 'integrated' a new piece of content has ever been—we know most of the characters already, and anyone who's seen Path of Exile 2 might have noticed players running around Kingsmarch twenty years in the future. This is both an expansion on existing lore, and set up for future stories. With some leagues, the narrative must carve into the unknown, but with this one, I was making a puzzle piece that had to fit exactly on all sides.

There's a tension inherent in the story of the Kalguurans we've met. Ostensibly, they're here to excavate and trade, but there's always been a nervous energy about certain topics.
