Hey @aleksei89 and others,

I’ll break down the different types of quests and clarify what should be playable and what shouldn’t.

New Main Story Quests - The stretch of MSQ between Everfall and Great Cleave has been completely redesigned. If you were at any point in the MSQ on or before the quest “Answering the Call,” you can play through all the new main story quests in Brightwood and Weaver’s Fen. If you completed “Answering the Call” before the patch, then you have progressed past the updated quests and can no longer complete them without starting a new character. This is because there are prerequisites and thresholds in the MSQ (leveling up your Azoth Staff, etc) that we’d need to reset in order to put you back at that point in MSQ.

New/Revise...

Yes, sorry for slow response, but we did confirm a solution - this issue should be addressed in the next update.

Sorry you are still blocked. The fix that went in with the patch addressed the issue where players who had completed “A Selfless Nature” and “Brimstone Under Siege”...

Hey folks,

With all the changes to quest structure and flow in the New Starter Experience and in the transition into Brimstone Sands, we’re seeing a lot of questions coming up repeatedly, and so we want to provide a central location to address these questions and provide more clarity on a range of circumstances that may be causing confusion.

Brimstone Sands

The main questions arising here are about the requirements for entry into the zone and the requirements for starting the main story there.

Okay, we’ve found the source of the issue. The version of Adiana in Edengrove is moved during the quest “Brimstone Under Siege,” so if you just completed “A Selfless Nature” and then went to Brimstone and completed “Brimstone Under Siege,” you’ll be unable to pick up Adiana’s next quest which leads to the Azoth Staff T5.

Currently suggest finishing the Main Story up to T5 Azoth Staff before heading to Brimstone.

We are working on a fix to correct the issue for anyone for whom she’s already vanished.

We had to disable these quests temporarily. Hope to have them fixed and restored soon, but you will need to take them again.

Thanks for reporting this and sorry you’re having this issue. Can you confirm when you first accepted “Blessings of the Earth”? Is there any chance you started this quest more than six months ago? (this will help diagnose the problem)

The Main Story Quest series has been changed dramatically in the starter zones, and the process for joining a Faction has been changed. Once you reach Level 17, new Faction NPCs in Everfall will offer Initiation Quests for each Faction.

@William_Logsdon The quest “A Selfless Nature” comes a few quests after “A Rare Spice,” so you will need to go back and complete that quest and the ones that follow. Once you’ve turned in “A Selfless Nature” on Adiana, then the “Brimstone Under Siege” quest will become available in the Outpost.

@WeGbored we’re looking into this issue. You actually appear to be hung up on the quest step before the “Talk to Imhotep” step, so this step is satisfied by entering a large trigger volume that encircles him. Sounds like you’ve already tried relogging, but you might also want to try leaving the area entirely and then returning.

Ok, you’ll need to complete “Saboteur” followed by “Blessings of the Earth,” and then you’ll be offered “A Selfless Nature”

@S1lence1 So I think you will also want to go back and talk to Yonas at his new location south of Chason Steep. You will have to complete several Main Story Quests to get back to the new Azoth Staff quest. They’re good quests, though!

We added the new Faction Initiation quests so new players could get a better feel for each faction before joining. The quests start a story with the factions that we hope to follow up later, so to join new or to switch to a faction, the initiation is required now.

It’s really just a handful of quests for each faction; shouldn’t take long to do, and you’ll get to see the new Faction Enclaves which are pretty nifty as well.

@grogmaster In your case, did you complete the Main Story Quest “A Selfless Nature” in Edengrove? That quest is a pre-requisite for the Main Story quest series in Brimstone.

Correct, you would have needed to complete the Trial quest in Brightwood to get the next rank regardless.

After completing the Main Story Quest to defeat the Tempest, the quest series may appear to be over when you turn that quest in, but it actually picks back up again if you take “Strider of the Sands,” available from either Great Cleave, Shattered Mountain, or Ebonscale Reach.

After you’ve given yourself the Desert Cerate, you can enter Brimstone and then the Brimstone Main Story starts on the character “Ghazi” after you turn in ‘Strider’. Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.

Hi Elethriel! I think for the Main Story, you’re in the section of quests that were updated. You can most likely pick up the quest progression again by looking for Yonas at a new location near the border between Monarch’s Bluffs and Windsward, just south of Chason Steep. If that’s not the case, let me know.

For the Faction Progression Quest, I am surprised to hear that one disappeared from your logs. You can however pick the series back up by completing the next Trial quest. Since you are Syndicate, that quest should be available on the Syndicate Faction Representative in Brightwood.

In order to switch going forward, you will need to have completed the respective Faction Initiation Quests in Everfall.

You will also need to have completed the Main Story Quest “A Selfless Nature” in Edengrove.

Note that you will need to have completed “A Selfless Nature” in order to start the Main Story quest series in Brimstone.
