Hey, I’ve seen you around the treyarch game subreddits and you obviously work for treyarch. Can you explain your role exactly? Are you the community manager? Social media/communication? Or something else?

Read moreI doubt it was worse than the Black Ops 4 subreddit even though I guess the level of toxicity doesn't really matter. BO2 or BO3 I forget which had devs getting death threats regarding quick scoping. WW2 had the backlash for allowing multiple ethnicity and genders in the MP aspect. Which says more about the people complaining no matter how much they tried to hide it behind "historical accuracy" or "my grandpa was offended by this, he sacrificed his life"...as if literally everyone doesn't have some type of family member or friend that has served...Then there were MP issues that were actually improved upon. BO3 and BO4 got mostly deserved backlash for MTX. IW and AW for being a little too futuristic.
I'll just say in 2020, one of the main reasons people use the internet is to complain. There is nothing wrong with folks complaining as it helps makes things better but as you said gotta be constructive.

OP is outlining that constructive feedback is far better for community health and interaction than attacks or jabs on peers or the various studios associated with Black Ops Cold War.
I intend to remain present but will definitely elect to not engage with those who are intentionally uncivil or intellectually dishonest as in /r/BlackOps4. We outlined this in our reveal blog.
How is working for treyarch? I think its a dream job for many of us!
It's definitely a blast. I've been a part of the Activision ecosystem for about 11 years now but started calling Treyarch home shortly after Black Ops 3. Definitely love our studio and it is a privilege to continue representing them in a small way.

We've only outlined that September 9th is when we'll reveal MP and we'll have more details about the beta at a later date.

We definitely prefer the full hashtag when possible, but bocw is much easier to distinguish online when searching for feedback or other items than CW, which is a whole entertainment group, or BO5 which has a bit of noise to it.

We haven't outlined min-spec or req-spec yet. We'll have an open beta later this year where you can give that a spin.
We know progress will move forward, but will you be able to maintain progression across the systems, at the same time? In other words, if I have a XB1 and start playing, then get an XBSX and start playing, I know my progress copies over. Now, if I keep my XB1 around and sometimes play on that and sometimes play on the XBSX (imagine they are in two different rooms), will my progress keep updating?
We are supporting cross-gen crossplay and cross-saves.
Can we get some send message channels on the Treyarch discord 🤞
Currently not the goal for that Discord. It's a news hub first and a community creations share space second. Totally aware that we're using it differently. Mostly helping to keep information flow in spaces that y'all are.

I anticipate that I will be as active, if not more, as I was during Black Ops 4. I'll definitely manage expectations along the way for how we interact here and we do live in a reality where players can move the goalposts for "good relationship" at any time. I'm optimistic that we'll have a good time.
