Why didn't you roll back?
It's a question of what is the lesser evil. A rollback would have affected significantly more players (millions) in partially unpredictable ways:
In 1,000 SD matches you play, approximately ~23 out of 9,000 enemies will have purchased that offer. The distribution isn't that simple and it's much less likely that you are affected if you are living in the Americas and more likely that you are affected in Asia or Europe.
How does this impact the game?
What took a hit is our monetization, since some players received much more value than originally intended. When it comes to how it affected you, our players: the offer was purchased by <0.25% of our active player base.
We are sorry that some of you feel that this impacted the game in a negative way and we understand why there is some frustration - we're in the same boat, really.
Let's talk about what happened on Saturday! For ~30 minutes an offer went live which should have never happened.
Humans of course make mistakes, but in this case the validation system which checks if offers are "OK" failed and allowed this impossibly good deal. ⬇️

@Asap_the_noob It's a known issue. We'll adress it with the next major update. 👊
@w_a_m_b_a_m @natwithaheart @tartar_creation @rattatuwu Woah! This is amazing! 🥰
@2LxQ8p713WKXD2D You can find the answer in a sticky post on my profile. 👊
We'll make sure to get these rules into the game with the next update. We didn't expect this to happen that often, but after the removal of Golden Tickets it became more common.
@Miit0_ Not sure if serious or not. In the case it is: there's no such thing in online games.
Yes, you can go "back" in time, however the consequences are fairly drastic since it would affect millions of players, individual progression, club leagues, etc. - the list goes on.
@Xswezzy8 @Edouard71102144 Club League MM is based on Club League ranks and individual Trophies don't matter in this regard.
@Edouard71102144 If you are grouped the highest ranked player's Trophies will be used for matchmaking.
@cmc_r3vilo Super cool!

Getting many messages like this, and believe me, we wish we could revert what happened for many reasons... but it just doesn't work as easy as that 🥲 it was a mistake on our side and the only thing to do right now is 1️⃣ learn from it 2️⃣ apologize. Sorry 🙏🏻 https://t.co/wvDwvlmb5I
@reeeeeeeee_bs For esports we're providing this information to the broadcast via API.
Let's see where this goes moving forward! 👊
@DaTiger_BS @xtyped64 @pumpkintron That's the same. What do you think is paying the bills for running a game?
@yarn_bs @If__Ali @pumpkintron You cannot roll back individual players. It would affect millions of players and break a series of other systems.
@FirstGamingBS @If__Ali @pumpkintron Rolling back isn't a "small" thing. Affecting everything for millions of players would create bigger issues.
@xtyped64 @pumpkintron I understand that you feel like that personally, but from the game perspective it doesn't make sense since it would just hurt the game even more.
@If__Ali @pumpkintron It's not "rude" from my perspective. There was a game breaking bug active for a short moment which endangered the continuity of the game and we addressed it.
Bugs happen. We fix them. In this case the impact of a rollback would have had a much worse impact on our players.
@LoganBrawl @TeddieCasts Organizational effort and cost. The main cost for offline events comes from running the event, not from the prize pool.
