Hey thanks for the report, couple of questions.

  1. Are you updated to the latest version of Fortnite? v13.20. You can make sure you are updated by visiting the App store on your device.
  2. What device are you on?
  3. Do you have another device or platform that you are able to login on?
  4. Have you tried these workarounds?

Workarounds
1) Reinstalling the game. If this does not work attempt workaround #2

2) Launch with the wifi and cell turned off, once you reach the no connection screen, then turn them back on and that might get you past the start up screen.

Since its just server maintenance no update will be required once downtime ends.

Glad you are enjoying the change. Now make sure you dont stare at the blue light for to long. Its not good for your eyes :)

Thanks for the report and screen shot. Are you able to jump back into game and report the issue under the feedback button as a bug? "Other" is fine for this. Also a quick screen recording would be great if you can grab one. If not, no worries, thanks for the image!

Hey folks, we are looking into this issue and had a quick question. Do you happen to have a controller connected or did have a controller connected when you launched the game? Also when this happens in your next game could you please use the feedback system in game and report it as a bug. Once you do let us know and our team can check out the logs!

Update: Fortnite Status Twitter

We've resolved the login issue on the Google Play Store. Players who are currently unable to launch Fortnite should close their app and relaunch.

Just like the Ninja Icon Series came back and other cosmetics have made returns to the item shop, there is always a chance of the Loserfruit Icon Series returning at some point.

There are discussions ongoing to see what can be done. I would not expect any changes for at least another patch cycle.
