Just dropping by to say we are planning to look into this and why it is happening. It might take a little while to get a clear impression of what is causing this due to pre-holiday patching and other stuff. As far as I've heard, our reports on performance drops stem from a specific Season 3 patch, which might coincide with a plugin update, but we'll see if that checks out.
Meanwhile, please keep a lid on the hot takes and the conspiracy theories. What we need is data points, not anecdotal opinions of performance in other games. If you can find specific posts with documentation it will be a great help in piecing together this puzzle.

I mean, you can be a grinch and not log in, or you can celebrate and dress up with the rest of us.
Well, that’s because people would blindly join. I don’t think people are aware how many bug reports and messages modded servers gave us before the update. Now people have to opt in to play on modded servers and while we get that it sucks, it’s also important that people know what’s happening on the server that they join so they won’t try to report cheaters or crashed brought on by mods. More enemies is also a resource hog and something that changes the game experience radically, and while that can be fun, it’s important that people can tell the difference when playing. Maybe the perfect integration doesn’t exist, but it’s all a learning experience to us.
A big present would be better though :(
