Our addition of Mr. Jenkins into World of Warships had nothing to do with that character, but with Mr. Jenkins specifically, because he is a veteran, we have worked with him in the past and we wanted to honor him specifically.

One of the biggest challenges we have specifically for adding historical commanders, that most do not know about, is legally getting permission can be difficult if someone has passed away and we have to try to contact an estate or representative for that person.

It's not as easy as just grabbing images and making it happen. In this respect, the example of Leroy Jenkins, we actually reached out directly to him. This process still, however, takes a long time and has been a project that has been ongoing for almost a year.

Trust me as a retired CPO and someone that use to teach naval history and knows a lot of US Naval history, there are A LOT of commanders I would like to see in the game, but after working for WG for over a year, I have seen how much time and effort has to be put in, in order to make it happen. And at the end of the day, we could reach out to an estate or representative and just never get a response, in which case, it can be a hard stop ...

My point was more directed at the idea that it could be for currency that you wouldn't necessarily need to purchase. You could just play and grind X currency, let it build and then join the auctions.

And I would assume that these will be available (the loot boxes) but I am pretty sure there will be limits to how many are available too... so like say "500 of X containers" (JUST SPECULATION).

Well and this is why I said "25 million" for a tier V premium BB that is no longer available. I don't have the data on hand but I know that there are A LOT of players with stacks of credits, I am a recovering whale (okay maybe not recovering, first step is admitting you have a problem right!?) and at one point I had over 1 billion credits. The ONLY thing that keeps my credits around 500 million currently is I repeatedly reset ship lines on the regular.

I know that its not the norm, but I do know there are a lot of people out there that have this problem (can it really be called a problem?)

And that was my point, I don't know what currencies the auction will require, but if credits say were something you could bid with is what I was wondering.

Like bundles of steel?

I mean what if you had a ship at say tier V that was no longer able to be purchased for credits.

Lets say the Giulio Cesare for 25 million credits? She is a tier V but can't be gotten anymore (THIS IS NOT HAPPENING I AM JUST CURIOUS WHAT Y'ALL THINK!)

Okay let me put some more guidelines since I obviously left it too open

What in game content that exists (ships, signals, flags, camo, modules) would you want to see, regardless of what currency they are available for currently.

Lets say the auction was for CREDITS specifically.

Overall, if ANYTHING could be placed in the "auction house" what would you like to see?

^^^^^This was my reaction when you first reacted to that Reddit post that was false. I wanted to replay with "SoonTM" but figured just waiting was going to be better :)

Folks,

We are monitoring your feedback on the ship specifically, she hasn't even gone into testing as of yet so there could be significant changes.
