Hey Rudie,

The game does some additional loading in the background during the opening cinematic. You should be able to skip it pretty quickly, but if you have mods installed then it will be a bit longer before you can skip it with the ESC key or by clicking the mouse.

You should be able to edit the DefaultGame.ini file to disable the intro cinematic, but I can’t guarantee that this still works.

Go to: \Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Config
open "DefaultGame.ini and set:[/script/movieplayer.movieplayersettings]
-StartupMovies=StartupUE4
-StartupMovies=StartupNvidia
-StartupMovies=CinematicIntroV2

Last week we released Update 38, one of the biggest Conan Exiles updates ever, bringing mounts, mounted combat, thrall/pet leveling system, and much more!

We’re sure you have a lot of questions and comments about the update, so we wanted to take some time on Thursday to answer them on stream. It’s the second post-patch mailbag!

Post your questions/topics in this thread for Thursday’s Q&A stream. Please limit yourself to no more than 2 questions per person and please be polite and constructive.

Lead designer Alex and Community Manager Jens Erik will only be able to answer some of your questions during the stream, but they will try to get to as many as possible.

We will not be able to talk about future titles or upcoming mechanics or features.

Quick update for our Xbox One players:

We’re aware that there have been some increased crashes after the update yesterday. The team is on the case and a fix is in the works. We’ll have this taken care of as soon as we can.

Dear, Exiles!

We’re currently aiming to release mounts, mounted combat, the Riders of Hyboria Pack, and much more, on Thursday, December 5th. The plan is to release this on all platforms on the same date.

There’s also a small hotfix coming out today!

As Halk pointed out, the updates come from the Steam servers. We have no control over how fast (or slow) you download a patch.

The TL;DR is that this new feature will make individual thralls/pets more powerful and also makes engaging with them more rewarding.

At the same time, we’re implementing a limit on how many thralls/pets you can own at once. The details about this limit can also be found in the post we linked to above.
