Short answer: No.

Long answer: Blue posts track Blizzard teammates on the forums, which would include Community Managers on the Overwatch Team! However, there’s no need to worry because I am in very close contact with everyone on my team. We talk every day!

It’s actually very encouraging how collaborative and respectful everyone is on Team 4. I haven’t met anyone who gatekeeps or knocks people out of a discussion because they aren’t a “balance important person”. I love this game, and I am super passionate about engaging with the community and representing the community to my team (and vice-versa)!! To speak to the other subject in this post, it can be difficult to quantify what Community Management is because our goals are qualitative. Our pro strats are driven by sentiment, awareness, engagement and building a healthy ecosystem around a game we love!

Blizzard is special to me because of how involved the community team is in the development process. Team 4 puts a lot of value on my team because of how much they value the Overwatch community-- which is all of you.

Maybe mechanical skill??? But even then idk because each support hero is pretty unique.

I think people underestimate the situational awareness, game sense, and teamwork skills you need to be a good support.

I didn’t mean to diminish anyone’s thoughts or feelings, I just meant I have been with the game since 2016 but only joined Blizzard October 2021. I remember Blizzcon 2019 as a player and member of the Overwatch community.

I can’t offer anything right now, but I have a lot of faith in the future of this game. I hope we can make it up to those of you who are feeling frustrated right now.

My personal gripe with hero bans in Overwatch has always been the number of heroes (and then the number of heroes in each role).

I think bans would work better for DPS than they would support and tanks because those two roles have less heroes, but honestly I didn’t like the comp bans we tried way back when.

Counter-picks and teamwork is too important in Overwatch.

This made my heart skip a beat.

I know there’s not a whole lot I can offer right now because y’all really want to know what the future holds for Overwatch. Just know you feelings are 100% valid, and I understand the frustration. I have felt it, too.
