In addition to the PTR chaos event this Friday, join the New World team for War on 2022-07-08T23:00:00Z! After the war, we’ll be playing around with some shenanigans in Windsward.

War Details:
We will be declaring war on Windsward. Signups will be available starting at 2022-07-08T22:30:00Z and it’ll be on a first come, first serve basis.

In this PTR version, we have made wars instanced so we are interested in feedback on performance and stability.

[NOTE: This expedition will be unlocked several days following the initial opening of the PTR. This will facilitate ample testing and feedback for the rest of the update’s content, as well.]

A dark tide rises in Aeternum with the arrival of Admiral Blackpowder and his dastardly crew! Quest givers in the Cutlass Keys settlement and the new docks on the territory’s eastern shore will be looking to offer you loot and renown for defeating the despicable evil within the new Barnacles & Black Powder expedition.

Rumors suggest there might be an even greater power within the Admiral’s hold. Not to mention, more than meets the eye… as with most things in Aeternum, of course. Barnacles & Black Powder is an endgame expedition. The entrance can be found at the ...

Welcome to the New World Bonus XP event! Throughout June and part of July, we’ll be hosting a variety of bonus XP events for adventurers to maximize their characters’ potential through leveling up weapons, trade skills, and more.

Starting 2022-07-01T07:01:00Z until 2022-07-05T06:59:00Z, the following will receive an XP boost:

• Double Weapon XP
• Double Gathering XP
• Double Refining XP
• Double Character Level XP
• 1.25 Crafting XP

• When a player encounters Captain Thorpe in the new player flow, the objective for “Sole Survivor” updates to, “Defeat the Corrupted Captain Thorpe”. When the player defeats the Thorpe however, the objective does not update, making the quest non-completable. The First Time User Experience still progress and the player can proceed through the questline, but “Sole Survivor” remains in their journal.
