Expedition Group Finder (Same World)

Finding a group to run expeditions with while solo isn’t always easy when you need to ask through Chat. So we are excited to release our first version of the Group Finder tool for expeditions! With this feature, you’ll be able to access a specific Group Finder for each expedition (accessed through expedition entrance UI or related expedition map icons), browse listings created by other players, or post your own request. The tool allows players to declare their preferred team role — such as DPS, Tank, or Healer — and recruit based on those roles. Barnacles & Black Powder

A dark tide rises in Aeternum with the arrival of Admiral Blackpowder and his dastardly crew! Quest givers in the Cutlass Keys settlement and the new docks on the territory’s eastern shore will be looking to offer you loot and renown for defeating the despicable evil within the new Barnacles & Black Powder expedition.

Unfortunately as Community Managers, we are not a part of the Game Moderation or Support team. I don’t have any visibility into Game Moderation or the actions that team takes or access to the tools or reports that they use to determine suspensions.

I’ve forwarded this to the Game Moderation team but as I won’t be able to discuss this with you, or anyone in this thread, all further communications will come from them.

Hey! This is a Known Issue which should only really be happening when you get close to or are at maxed repair parts.

In the meantime, I did see someone post a suggestion that worked for someone else. I’ll quote it below:

so i joined party with a friend. HE played the song with me standing beside him. My char danced while he played but I GOT CREDIT for the quest.

If anyone else can try it, let me know if that at least works as a workaround. Thank you!

We are extremely excited to release a feature that makes it easier to group up with your fellow adventurers to tackle the challenges that lie in New World’s expeditions. There is some additional scale testing needed on Group Finder, to ensure this feature is a smooth experience for all. We are actively working on this, and as soon as it is ready, we will let you know its new release date

You can still expect the new Expedition, Barnacles and Black Powder (both normal and Mutated) and the new Mutations to be released in the next weekly update.

Can you explain in a bit more detail? Were you able to find the song in your inventory? (It should be in the “quest items” section of your inventory.

If so, can you provide some more information on how you tried playing it? Did something get stuck? Any screenshots you can show us?

Just to confirm, did you check the “quest items” section in the inventory? The section is at the very bottom.

Thanks for the feedback! I can definitely understand the concern for posting exploits and utilizing this as a medium to spread that information.

I personally find the bug reporting section helpful for not just employees but anyone who may be experiencing an issue with quests glitching out and are looking for an update or a resolution that we’re able to provide.
