Like, turn-based only? Or turn-based under the hood like your current games (with RTwP and turn-based options)?

Because I'll be massively disappointed if it's turn-based only. You guys set the gold standard for CRPGs in my opinion with the ability to switch between RTwP and turn-based modes on the fly. Pillars of Eternity 2 did this as well, but not as well since you can't switch on the fly in that game.

Honestly a huge step backwards if this won't be the case.

Turn based only. The combat system is drastically different to what you've seen in PF. and RtwP doesn't fit right in it. I am personally a big fan of hybrid system from PF too, but didn't have any problems or disappointment adapting at all. Don't worry.

So is this gonna be a modified form of the tried and true Pathfinder engine Owlcat has created or an attempt at one of the previous Warhammer RPGs, or are they going to create a new system whole cloth?

My guess is the former but looking forward to getting more information...

It's based on the existing engine in many aspects, especially visual, but has different d100 based game mechanics.

I'd shank any four people in this sub for an isometric CRPG Rogue Trader.

So who will these four people be?

Here's the saddest thing ever. First you're not correct but second we will NEVER see a Warhammer cRPG. Games Workshop wants to keep selling you shit and it seems they want the RPG experience in Warhammer exclusive to tabletop.

Judging by the art at the end, minimum companion list is Space Wolves marine, Psyker, navigator, Eldar (Dire Avenger I think but not super versed in their units), and Sister of Battle. I'm pretty sure the final person in the art is supposed to be the main character, as the outfit fits with a rogue trader and he kinda matches the backwards profile we got from the trailer itself.

She's a ranger, not a Dire Avenger :)

I know that I am going to get to get this game because I have greatly enjoyed both games that Owlcat had put out to date.

However I will be getting this game with a full understanding that the setting is probably not for me. Basically the two things that I have heard the most frequently about the setting are that everyone (or at least every faction) is a jerk and the whole thing is very grimdark. Neither of which particularly appeals to me.

Hopefully I'll be able to get some enjoyment out of it.

Rogue Traders are in many aspects different from an average WH40k crowd. I suggest reading up on them online a little, they're quite an interesting and unusual entity in the Imperium.

Damn I'm a little disappointed as Pathfinder has become one of my favourite game series the past year with Wotr being the most fun I've had in years with video games and now I'm invested in the setting and all.

But who knows this just may be the game that gets me into Warhammer 40k aha will definately give it a try as you guys make amazing games.

And hey who knows with the success Owlcat has had with Wotr may have another project in the works at the same time

Who knows

At the end of the trailer you can see some art of a few characters, including a sob and I think a space wolf? Also someone who is an Eldar I think. Not too familiar with the setting so don't recognize the other characters.

You've seen correctly :)

I am unreasonably hyped.

Owlcats already proved with Mythic Paths that they can do various flavors of one story very well, so I can only imagine how much heresy we will be allowed to commit.

I genuinely hope however that they will not fall into the extreme grimdark that 40K is usually portrayed as. A tone like "Wrath of the Righteous but Azata and Trickster don't exist" would be ideal imo.

As a Pathfinder player myself, I can already say you won't be disappointed :) It contains everything you love about Pathfinder, and more.

Thanks for reaching out, unfortunately the suggestion didn’t work. My base game saves load without issue, but my DLC 1 save just wont get past the loading screen. I can start a new game in the DLC just fine, but since yesterday after playing for a bit my saves don’t load.

Actually, one of my base game save files experienced the same issue after reaching Threshold, but I loaded up a save about 10 minutes before the broken one, and I was able to get through everything without issue, and I’m able to load it up now.

Can’t say if it’s related or not, but these issues started right after I capped the frame rate in the NVIDIA control panel. I’ve since reset everything back but nothing seems to help.

Do you use any mods perhaps?

Try refreshing the cache by deleting all files except saved games, portraits and screenshots from the following folder: C:\Users\\AppData\LocalLow\Owlcat Games\Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous.

That's about it. Boxes got stuck. We're actively searching for a new delivery mechanism, still in progress though. We'll notify once it's available.

And I pretty much assume that trying to ride a computerized Pathfinder-TTRPG body of rules for all eternity can be a pretty tiresome thing.

I just hope you'll do a branching story that takes so many things into consideration and allows so many things to do again. You delievered (overdelivered!) what CDPR had promised/failed to do on Cyberpunk 2077! I hope for more of such a interestingly broad RPG.

Just keep it interesting for the sake of all of us.

Let's just say: if you like PF1&2, you won't be disappointed :)

Yeah, if I could make a wish, I'd also to like them doing another Pathfinder story. Or Starfinder. Both would be fine.

Re-work the RPG-system under the hood with the experience they have now, completely re-write the most messy parts, to iron out the kinks, then go on doing what we know they can do very well.

Three games in a row in the same setting would be tiresome for both the team and players. Fatique is a real thing. So we wanted to go for something new. That's not the only reason of course, but definitely one of.
