Really did make me quite... desperate for quite some time, as could be observed from rant above(and will continue to do so, apparently *sadge sigh*).

But anyway - may not have looked that way, but it was really good to see the game getting some much needed medicine, so, best of luck!

Thank you and have a nice day :)

We're always doing a heavy analysis of every survey we launch. It doesn't mean we'll be acting on every its point - some things may be too expensive or too complicated to implement, deemed satisfying as is, or be heavily against vision of the designers. But it certainly has an impact on our future releases and updates. For example, DLC6 was planned to be entirely different, but we've changed it after looking at the community survey.

Bugreports come in hundreds to thousands daily, a huge chunk of them being duplicate, so unfortunately it's impossible to communicate back over each of them ...

I understand\relate to\sympathize with that. Was never trying to imply, that yours was an easy job, nor that your feedback mechanisms were wrong... nor that the prioritizing algorhythms in my head are superior to yours:) No, i was merely asking... how should i put it. You see, try as i might, i won't believe, that you guys just up and came up with all the things, patchnoted above, in a span of a last week or so (or should i?))

So the real question is: was there really no other reasonable-ish way of introducing those patches other than making players wait few years for a gargantuously sized patch with a... gonna call it Delta-testing to fish for the most immidiate new bugs, attached to it ?(actually good idea, too bad there doesn't seem ...

Of course this patch has been in production for a while, maybe 3 or so months now. Smaller patches come out every month on average, and these bigger monstrous updates land multiple times a year, usually containing groundwork and files for upcoming releases and a lot of fixes that are being internally tested together with these releases (This time, DLC4).

What we can release from this build - we already release as smaller patches, the rest requires the build to be complete. And don't forget that a patch release with all uploads and platform approvals is a timesink in itself, too, so making multiple smaller patches is usually slower than getting a big single one out.

Some of these indeed could use some clarification. Alas, sometimes it may happen that the changelog in the internal bugtracking system is somewhat vague. Of course we try to interrogate the dev team for details when we can, but with such large patches as this one it may not always be possible due to time and availibility constraints. Sorry for that. But you can always ask me like today though :)

Literally which ones? and how?

They're in the patch notes below in the classes & mechanics section.

What does this mean?

Multiclassing used to allow circumventing the limit for one natural attack per source (e.g. letting you make multiple jaws attacks), it no longer does so.

What spells?!

  • [Alchemist] — Dragon's Breath (4), Remove Curse (3);
  • [Witch] — Waves of Exhaustion (7), Resurrection (8), Cure Serious Wounds (3 -> 4), Cure Critical Wounds (4 -...

There's a new batch of optimization in the new patch, so there should be an improvement, yes, especially in the later acts due to reduced visual clutter from enemy auras.

Does it mean they won't trigger as separate source that benefits from special effects like Bane and Holy/Axiomatic/etc Weapon? Because currently Regill with 10th level of Hellknight can get four iterations of 2d6 Holy damage on each hit of Honorable Judgment (two in main strike, two in bonus hit).

We've sharpened the daggers, and now they all deal slashing damage.

You wanted to say Piercing? Or Piercing/Slashing is intended behaviour?

Yes, it adds to the existing damage now, not as a separate source.

And intended to be piercing/slashing, yes.

Bugreports come in hundreds to thousands daily, a huge chunk of them being duplicate, so unfortunately it's impossible to communicate back over each of them. But I can assure you they are read, all the time, every day :) The priority for fixes is chosen based on (not neccessarily in this order):
- The frequency of reports for the issue;
- How gamebreaking is the issue itself and what % of playerbase is affected;
- Community demand for the issue that we community managers can highlight to the devs;
- How complicated is it to fix this specific issue;
- How interconnected is this specific issue with other mechanics (how big is the chance something will break/require a chain of changes elsewhere)

If a bug hasn't yet been fixed, then it's lower on priority list, simple as that. Not because it is unknown (unless it's very fresh and we've not yet browsed any bugreport with it).

Hello! We definitely hear you and notice you, and we're sorry if your experience isn't satisfying. The team is working on console every day, and will be for as long as it is needed. Unfortunately while we are doing all we can, it's not going as quick as it could - the latest patch, as you can notice by PC beta update, is extremely large, and porting it to console has met a significant amount of complications. Adding in texture updates creates even more problems that have to be solved. It's finally nearing completion now though, with the intended dates being the first week of March.

Crashes should be significantly reduced or gone after the patch in the beginning of march, until then, try to make a save as close to entering the Midnight Fane as you can, then exit the game and load it again, that should clear the memory and let you avoid the crash.

Either way, I have not made any comment on Kingmaker so what other people have said therefore I will not comment on that. But if my first sentence is true then it will give them a bad track record. I cannot speak for Playstation players, as I play on Switch and XBox. Pillars of Eternity I have played on PC, so I cannot speak for other console on that game. Either way both of our experiences should not serve as an anecdote as it seems like different consoles have different issues, my mistake for generalizing. I am glad the game is running and playable for you, though.

Though I agree that a lot of games do not come out in a "perfect" state at launch. But that does not mean we should just take it and not criticize, otherwise the gaming industry will never get better for the consumer. You do make a good point on marketer...

Thanks for the understanding and rest assured, we're working hard to fix the hiccups Wrath still has.

As for Kingmaker - technically, we haven't - we've lost the rights even before the release. There was a short transfer period where we were contracted to support the game, but it lasted just a few months or so. After that we've stopped receiving any money from the game whatsoever, and all updates past that point were made for free, in good will.

Sadly, at some point supporting it further became a burden financially and increasingly difficult in terms of infrastructure (the further we split, the slower and harder all processes and communication became). So eventually we were forced to stop development. We've attempted a few negotiations to reconsider the status of the game, but unfortunately, that didn't work out.

On console almost none of the games like pathfinder work perfectly. It's something I've realized.

Playing on ps5, I've played, both pathfinder games both pillars of eternity games and a few more and yes each of them have alot of issues but the devs have stated why they couldn't keep updating kingmaker

And they said that the fixes will be coming up. The pathfinder kingmaker game from what I understand wasn't even launched by owlcat on console I could be wrong if I am I apologize

But from what I've been seeing alot of people have been saying that here comes another kingmaker. Even though there's a clear difference

I've seen a decent amount of people complaining about the games graphics even while the devs were open about it stating they lowered it so the game could be more stable

The game isn't quite stable yet but alot of the people in this thread and others are straight up lashing out at the devs and others because the game isn't perfect...

I just wanna point out I appreciate your understanding on behalf of the team :-) We're investing a lot of effort into this. Sadly, delays happen, but sometimes they simply can't be avoided. But the work goes on.

I would also like to know if they are still looking for a fix, or if they have found a solution and is waiting for the eta from consoles when the patch will be up. If they have not found a fix then unfortunately we are looking into more months waiting, my friend :-(

We're still testing the fix, but it looks promising so far. Hoping to see it in the march patch.

Same, I’ve been waiting for almost two weeks now since it was specifically asked in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker/comments/zpccvy/saving_error/ whether the bug was still there after the patch and it clearly is. At this point my investment in the game which made me play like 5 hours a day for several weeks has gone down quite a bit, which is good insofar as it makes me less reluctant to just skip that area, but I would like to know if there is a patch coming within the next month or so since it would be particularly annoying if I skipped those quests and went on with the game and then it gets fixed immediately after.

Hello, we have a solution, but it will take some time for it to reach Switch, ETA for the patch is DLC4 release on 7th of March. Patch will also contain all updates from PC 2.1.

I honestly find it very hard to put any faith in these statements if you've got nothing to back it up. Hell ill take a development journal where I can actually see some progress/in work footage instead of just new empty promises.

You still can't tell if the next patch is going to bring any texture improvements. Currently it's 1.09 or 1.10 but we can guess on the day it comes out if it actually does anything.

The closest patch is a major pre-DLC4 update, in line with 2.1 on PC. It's HUGE, contains hundreds of changes and fixes. The texture update is more or less ready along with it and -should- be included in the patch, but we're currently testing its stability. There's still a chance, albeit minor, that it will be pushed back into a separate update if it isn't performing well. That big patch is scheduled to appear before DLC4.

I do think that’s the case but seems it didn’t work for everyone or they messed it up with a more recent patch. Storms were working for me In that patch but insect swarms were still broken.

Most of the weather has been fixed, but there are some locations, such as Leper's smile, where it can still bug out. It is on the list of future fixes, most likely after the major pre-DLC patch.

The region that Owlcat is located in is very unstable right now. Any further speculation is in bad taste imo. Some things are bigger than video games and I wish for everyone in Owlcat to remain safe, secure and preferably somewhere with working electrical grids.

You're going for some wild assumptions there, it's nowhere near that bad at Cyprus. Just some local technical issues that we've already taken measures against, that played a certain role in the delay. Main reason however is that we don't want to rush uploading a patch until we're certain in its stability. It's a big one so it's not quick to get everything checked. I understand it's annoying to wait for so long, but it's better than releasing a version that doesn't run properly.
