Glad you're excited for the new map! Regarding season length, we're trying to stick with three months per season, give or take a week. I bet this one felt really quick because it's summertime, and summer tends to fly by!
So is the "edgelight" for all the cars that you can get is it just something that comes with stuff or is it just with the rocket pass car for now?

EdgeLight is available only on the Civic Type R and the Civic Type R-LE for now. (Edited to include both Civic variants.)

The Civic Type R is the car in Season 8 Rocket Pass. It won't be in the Item Shop. To use the Type R, you can buy Rocket Pass Premium to get both versions of it, along with everything else in the pass.

Apologies, I can clarify here. The lighting for arenas in the main menu and garage is not the same as when you're playing a match. In this case, the lighting for Utopia (Gilded) in the garage/menus is darker than what you see when playing online, on top of Gilded being a night map to begin with. This is why colors look different in the garage vs in matches right now.

The main menu and garage are darker than normal, yes. This is due to Utopia (Gilded) being a night map, so it's darker in there than the other arenas we use for the main menu.
Team voice chat is currently bugged for most players. We'll have to wait until it gets fixed.

This! We are waiting on some changes to the Epic Online Services SDK we use to implement voice chat before we can fix the team vc bug. This should be addressed with the start of Season 8. Thanks for being patient, all, as we know that's a ways out.
