Hot off the presses: We're re-dropping that chroma at the beginning of the first series of semi-finals, so you'll get another chance. Check out my update above. :)
Same for me. I was watching didn't get anything, same with other drops.
I actually work with Riots support vendor very closely, Telus, on another game and they're just following basic policy - I just hope support does right for the player, and at this time, it is not the case.
Make sure you are following all the rules and setup tips with your browser. 99% of the issues fans seem to have is with ad blockers preventing them from getting drops. We have some steps in the player support article and some FAQs to help as well in the original Drops article.
Thanks for trying 5oda, but support are adamant that they don't know what you are talking about and seem incapable of clicking the reddit link, nor reaching out to you to discuss. I think I'm giving up. :(
Going forwards, I can see that you are now advertising when the next drops are going to occur, but if it is at a similar time, then that doesn't really help as a lot of the world is going to be at work due to it being a Monday. We watch everything that happens on the weekend, but we can't help having jobs that we have to go to.
Surely there is a better system for the remaining drops.
Heya Klort. We looked at the schedule and decided to help you all out by moving that drop to the first game of the last series of Quarterfinals and Semifinals. Basically, Zyra's chroma will drop at the first game of the last series of Quarterfinals, then Swain's will drop on the first game of the last series of Semifinals. It's not perfect, but it's the earliest I could do. :)

I was wondering if you could help me since I didn't get the drop, I was watching the game on my pc and the drop happened in the time it took me to turn off my pc and tune in on my phone so I ended up missing the drop. I contacted support and they basically said they cant do anything about it I was wondering if you could help since I seen you trying to help another person here.

heya gamie1543, the rule is that you need to be there. I do know that the timing was late, especially for anyone east of New York, USA, so I'm looking into seeing if we can drop Akshan again with more head's up. I've been communicating when the next ones are coming, so you'll have a better chance at them. I'll keep you all posted!

oof. so, maybe it's operator error on my side. (need a sweat blob emoji here) I was basically saying that we do different kinds of drops, and the chromas are not part of the capsules, so they're separate. some drops give you capsules, the others might give you a code, and then others will just deposit icons, emotes, wards, and now chromas right into your account.
That's weird I got an email about a reply, and then I opened it and there was no reply at all. I saw your other reply which was to my other comment. BTW support seems to think only some people get the chroma even if they're watching so I guess I am SOL
huh. reddit things i guess. :/ I'm working with player support on this as well. The chroma should have gone to everyone who was watching live when it dropped (and, of course, who's ad blockers were not on). It wasn't random, it was only to fans who were there when it happened. If you were, but we weren't capturing you due to a technical issue with ads, that would be the most likely reason if I had to guess.
I do have to say this post was made out of spite for the chromas not being skins. I really did not think much, and just wanted to vent a little. Being able to watch worlds for free is actually huge, and i should have processed my train thought better. Thank you for pointing it out, I'm less angry now

Seeing your earlier response about "try supprot if it didn't drop while watching" I did, they just told me "The drop is not guaranteed so you can end up being a bit unlucky and missing it.", so I was wondering if that's the case, because it sounds like if I was watching like usual, which I did, I've.. the drops from all previous group stage games.
Sadly no live venue for me, but 28 drops from this worlds so far means.. I was probably watching it like before.
Still, either way, thanks for the answer, the "one of the few in the world who have it for a while. :)" makes me hopeful it's not a lost cause forever. Being an avid collector sucks..

Was the Akshan drop on 16th, or the future Zyra and Swain or ward drop later, guaranteed if you were watching? Or it's still a chance?
if you follow the rules i posted, and make sure you get other drops, you'll get it. There are cases where people don't because their browser is blocking ads, so make sure you're all set up on lolesports.com. We also do a drop around the beginning of the first game of each stage as a way to let fans test and make sure they're all set up, so log in then for sure!

Is there any recourse for players like me who have watched over 30 games in hope of getting the chroma but the stream froze out for me during the 2 minutes that the chroma was given out? What about players who watch a lot of the world's event but have a life and couldn't be present during that one minute drop time?
It feels shitty watching this year's worlds event and going 5 days without a drop. Then, days later you open the subreddit to see what's going on and there are post with people claiming to get the reward. So you refresh the stream no more than 6 minutes after that post was made and then nothing and I'm just shit out of luck.
In this case, if you're having stream issues and followed all the rules in the player support article, I would reach out to them to see if they can help you out. I personally find Chrome, Firefox, and Safari work the best, and you need all the ad blockers and all that disabled.
That's unfortunate since I knew people who watched a bunch of games but couldn't on sunday/early monday and missed out on the chroma because they didn't have a heads up. I hope the team will reconsider and do another drop for it, since it was caught people offguard

As part of our special engagement, we're dropping each of the three Chromas one time at Worlds this year. In order to get them, you must watch from lolesports.com, be logged in, and opted in to get rewards. Additionally, Ad blockers hate us sometimes, so make sure you're getting other drops as well, or check out our player support article on drops.
The rules of our promotion are relatively simple: simply be there watching live, with your player synced properly to the live broadcast, and you'll get the drop when it happens. Then, we will fulfill it directly to your account. You'll know it's working when you see a little check box on the bottom.
