Hello! I attended last week's group stage games in person in hulu theater. I sent a ticket to riot support asking about the akshan chroma and they told me they were not able to give me the chroma, anything else I can do?

I was watching on two accounts (my main and my alt, on two monitors) and got it my alt and not my main (possibly due to ad blocker, like you said). From your post(s), I gather that I should have gotten it on both. I have an ongoing support ticket where the Riot Player Support representative is under the impression that not everybody who is watching will get the chroma drops, which seems contradictory to this post.
They are correct in that you have to be logged in when the drop happens. We don't officially support having multiple windows open, but if you were watching at the time of the drop and were time synced properly, you would have gotten it. Sometimes it fails if you switch players suddenly as well.
I've been trying to find an answer but can't. I'm going to Atlanta and was wondering about the drops. Clearly if we go to the event we can't be streaming for the drops. How can we get chromas if we are physically there and it drops online? Are those that paid to be there SoL? Which seems so shitty if that's the case since we paid to be at the event.
Hey Throdien, if you're going to be in Atlanta and have a ticket, reach out to player support and they can grant it to you since you, well, were there. :)
When we dropped the article, it mentioned that we were going to distribute codes. As it turns out, that didn't feel awesome so we worked together with a ton of Rioters internally and made it so that we could get these chromas to you regardless of if you own the skin or the champion.
The codes were a great idea, so players could gift their main friends (Akshan, Zyra, and Swain), just like the LPP codes, it doesn't make much sense to have one chroma without having the skin or not even playing with the champion.
The amount of players that will never touch these chromas is a waste...
I, for example, love the 3 (Akshan, Zyra, and Swain), but I hate green/red chromas/skins, and because of that I had already promised Zyra's chroma. This sudden change of plans is very frustrating.

I agree, we really wanted the codes to work but there were issues that we couldn't get corrected in time, and the results would have meant you would think you got the chroma when you didn't. Worlds is something we can't postpone for issues like this, so we pivoted quickly to get the chroma out to you all. We're going to revisit that when Worlds is over to make the Experience better next time, especially now that we know there was an issue.

- I was wondering if I should stop opening worlds capsules? Since they all degenerate into esports capsules. I wasn't sure if they came in the worlds capsules and maybe opening them before the skins were unlocked was actually destroying my chances.
- BTW what a terrible experience having all the World's capsules degenerate. Don't TELL me it's lamer and force me to click more for the lame reward, just give me the lame reward.

heya crashmore! so, there are basically a few kinds of drops, you can get all kinds of things. Capsules, codes, loot codes, and chromas. The exclusive Tiffany & Co chromas are currently dropping as individual chromas, and we're spacing them out over the remainder of the tournament. Akshan was dropped right at the start of the last game of group stage, and we're looking to drop Zyra's chroma at around the same time in quarterfinals. Make sure you and your gf are logged in and opted in to the drops on lolesports.com and all your ad blockers are disabled! If you are watching, you'll get Crystal Rose Zyra (Tiffany & Co) chroma when it drops! It'll show up directly in your inventory on the Chromas tab regardless of owning the champ or skin.

We created three chromas, one for Akshan, Zyra, and Swain. :) We dropped Akshan on the 16th, and will be dropping Zyra and Swain, in that order, during quarterfinals and semifinals. The drop also goes to everyone who is viewing when the drop happens, as long as you are logged in, opted in, and have all your ad blockers disabled per the support articles.

Hi thanks for the informations, I got the Akshan chroma yesterday! I have a small issue with the drops system:
The people going to viewing parties and going to the show can't get the drops even though some of it is exclusive content

Could you clarify if this means there will be a guaranteed drop for the chromas during knock outs, if so are you allowed to share when, because I like a lot of people want to watch every match and get the rewards, but that isn't always feasible (in my case I get to watch in person 1 day) so it'd be nice to know when we can expect it so I can carve out time for it, especially for folks in non-NA friendly viewing times

I have seen so much this year compared to others because I really wanted this but now all my friends have it and I feel like I just didn't get the drop or I missed out despite having it on and watching :'(
We're doing them one at a time over QF and SF, so if you're logged in and all that, you will have a chance! If you were watching and had an issue (usually it's something with ad blockers), definitely reach out to Player Support and they can help you with this one! As someone who saw the Karma icon on PBE months and months ago and has been waiting to get it ever since, I'm really disappointed that I have no idea if I'm going to be able to get it. I've been online for drops probably 95% of the broadcast time despite it starting at 6 AM for me, and I've gotten eight drops (four duplicates and one icon I already had from previous events).
The fact that the Karma icon has already dropped for people, but it was only dropped for 13,000 people, is really frustrating. I will be extremely disappointed and will basically not give a shit about drops ever again if I can't get the one thing I'm looking for when the event is over. Drops are intended to increase live viewers so if viewers feel burned by the system we're going to disengage.

Hey there. First off, thanks for the feedback. We really are listening and trying to game how to make things better, and I feel like we've got some things coming for Worlds that will feel pretty great, like more drops and more rewards. I've mentioned this in a couple of other replies, but we wanted to try something and it simply didn't work, at least not the way we wanted it too. So, we picked ourselves up and went back to the lab to see what we could make better. I don't know if it'll be perfect, but I'm hopeful that what we've done and will be announcing will feel much better. As always, thanks for being a fan and vocal about what you are seeing and feeling.
Bad bad bad system. Are you that desperate for views? People spent money on that Morgana bundle just because they knew it wouldn't come back. Also you should feel awful about putting exclusive rewards like the karma icon behind super rare drops, how are karma mains supposed to feel? I spent every single day watching MSI just to get nothing more than a GP emote, while some people can get whole skin bundles and exclusive emotes. This system is pathetic and whoever decided to put such big rewards behind super rare drops has no idea of what they are doing. Seriously, stop this bullshit.
We've been working since MSI during the splits to try new things that we will be re-launching at Worlds (announce coming soon). The goal is to give more drops with more rewards more often, so if you're still interested in trying it out, we'd love to have you again.

8 days in and I've gotten 3 Bose sweepstakes entries (that's ~3 in 44.7k odds of getting drawn for a reward...) and one emote I've already had. The rewards so far have not been "valuable stuff" unless you're on of the ~30 people to get a skin.
We leveled up the team and brought on someone to help us in creating drop moments that make sense, and pivoting as the battle in Iceland rages on!
8 days in, and I've only gotten 4 (entirely useless) drops despite a damn cool MSI. Whoever decided to hard cap every drop to a miniscule fraction of viewers and whoever decided what moments trigger drops have failed miserably.

I have watched every single minute of the stream on lolesports and have got literally no drops whatsoever. I thought it was bugged tbh. I'm really glad you are changing it because the current system feels frustrating, to put it mildly.

Yeah, ok, a comment that more drops will come is nice and all, but I've already been burned by the system to the point of losing interest.
Capped drops are bullshit.
Not disclosing the criteria for drops was just away to avoid lying like with worlds (numerous times there were no drops despite events that met the announced drop criteria) and let's you throttle drops as much as you want because this time we can't point at things like "a drop for every elder dragon".
Drops SHOULD have been an awesome way to engage the community, but it's been so horrifically executed during every single event/season it's been around that I actually find myself less interested in watching live.
I've only gotten 3 drops, two of which were the Bose sweepstakes which I refuse to actually count given there's no guarantee of earning anything, and the third was an emote I already had. You say "A ton of rare drops," I say abso-f**king-lutely nothing.

Hey Reddit! As we head into the second half of MSI, I wanted to share some info with you all! We did a ton of small, rare drops in the first 6 days of the tournament where we dropped some Morgana bundles, some Hextech Chests & Keys, some Champion shards, a few lolesports.com exclusive icons and emotes, and some Bose sweepstakes entries for the US (Use those entries! The prizes are pretty sweet, and I cannot get any since I work here, so go get 'em!). In all that, we also dropped a small number of the 2021 Exclusive Icons and Emotes (Karma Mains Rejoice!) and there are many, many more on the way! We've been watching the feedback and know some of you are annoyed at not getting a drop, or getting a drop of something you already had. On not getting a drop, we're ramping up our un-capped, everyone-gets-it drops as we get into the end of MSI, and we're going to be dropping all of the 2021 exclusives we said we would, so keep watching!
