I'll post this here as well to clarify how protected(novice) matchmaking works:

While in novice status (below 70 battles) — most of your battles will be in protected matchmaker (meaning only novices and bots in the battle, and amount of players should be equal in each team), but some might not, here's in which cases:

- If you've waited more than 65 seconds, normal MM is used (for example if you're the only novice in the queue — you won't get into battle with only bots on enemy team)
- If you're in division with a veteran (>= 70 battles) — normal matchmaker is used.
- If you're playing with tier V+ ship, normal MM is used
- If you've played 70 battles, normal MM is used

That's checked before each battle, so just because you got into normal matchmaker battle once shouldn't prevent you from being matched in novice matchmaker in subsequent attempts, as long as you're still below 70 battles. So avoid coop and using T5+ ...

Because it's not just about battles count! :)

While in novice status (below 70 battles) — most of your battles will be in protected matchmaker (meaning only novices and bots, amount of players should be equal in each team), but some might not, here's in which cases:

- If you've waited more than 65 seconds, normal MM is used
- If you're in division with a veteran (>= 70 battles) — normal matchmaker is used.
- If you're playing with tier V+ ship, normal MM is used
- If you've played 70 battles, normal MM is used

But having 1 battle in normal matchmaker doesn't prevent you from being matched in novice matchmaker in subsequent attempts, as long as you're still below 70 battles. So avoid coop and using T5+ ships during that time, it's a good opportunity to accumulate extra resources and some achievements.

Actually there's a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVmXzlhZvJVSo3LA0O0ccjHRxxv-Qzchb

As of now this serves as a pretty good even if non-interactive tutorial:

Gets displayed during installation in WGC version, meaning player is less likely to skip it than in-game tutorial that stands between him and real playing.

More on that: https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-guides/badge-rs-badge-rs-mushroom-mushroom/

The screenshot there is a bit outdated, the GUI has changed since then, but it still should be easy to find — click in the upper left corner of the Port where you see your current insignia.

Greetings everybody!

I'm Ryuu (really love my nickname, don't need a name :P), mainly i am managing WoWs community on Steam, some of you may remember me there, but will be helping @Umbaretz and @Bualar on NA too.

I'm actually really not a fan of online or PvP games, but WoWs is a heartwarming exception — maybe because it's the only game where i managed to git relatively gud due to slower pace, not requiring insane aiming skills and reasonable balance between realism and arcade (i would hate not having 3rd person camera). I play WoWs since CBT and really enjoy ranked and clan battles, specializing in stealth and hybrid destroyers.

My userpic is Winged Doom because i love old internet memes :P also i'm a geek, nerd and weeb — well, your typical average playerbase ;)

Love and Peace! (^_^)V

Sorry, but just crash reports are not enough. Can you please make a ticket to Player Support?

To save you time on picking finding support category: https://na.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/help/17361/17367/17368/

Now just click orange button "Create ticket" below, and attach WGCheck report file. See here on creating that report (no need to download the tool actually, it's already in the WGCheck subfolder of the game).

Do you have a replay file still left? (by default last 30 battles are stored)

Ooh, just recently i've covered this on Reddit together with other tidbits on masterful usage of quick commands (and messing around):

https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/dq19gm/faq_friday_ask_anything_in_here_november_01_2019/f617dpl/

So you need to switch chat to "All", close it (just hit Enter with no text), and only F10 (good luck), F11 (well done), Shift+F12 (curses!) commands can be heard by enemies. If you use F11 on an allied player — enemies see that in the chat too :)

Those aren't really premiums, but (currently) non-researchable special ships. Earlier they were displayed as premiums (as a simplification "what is not researchable — is premium"), but actually as of recently (current update) there's a separate category with a separate icon: https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/game-updates/update-089-italian-cruisers/#technical-improvements

The difference might be subtle, but what's important — is that it allows to filter (or filter out) those special ships in the carousel.

I feel other points were already answered sufficiently.

You can't see pink status for members of another team, even if they're players ;)

Imagine if you would see both allied pinks and enemy pinks…
