The monster you're killing has a attack style of ranged, that's why you're getting that ranged rock :)
If I understand this post correctly, you're trying to use an Augmentor directly on it to augment it which won't work.
Try the invention workbench and click on the 'Augmented Items' category :D

No worries God Shauny! I was more confused than anything when it kept chucking "incorrect password" at me, only then I realised the different username.

I'll chase this up but I fail to see how this could have happened.
EDIT: I just chased this up with our Core Tech team who have confirmed to me that the username is stored locally on the machine.
I came here just to scream about solo larges
server strain isn't too bad then? that was the reason given for no solo larges before. let's hope launch is alright ahah
