It didn’t return you to the login screen. It restarted the client. There’s a difference between the two. A fairly significant one, with the way it worked.

With the way authentication works, the token used to auth you would, most likely, be expired. The launcher would have to give you a new one to get you in.

I started in 2011, and had multiple characters. I know how it was not to use the launcher

As per my linked forum post (which was an edit, a short time before you posted your reply. So it’s easily possible you didn’t see it) it wasn’t there in 2005. Someone did mention it having existed before, but being buggy and then removed.

So it looks like I was wrong about that. Of course, many of the people claiming it used to exist aren’t 15 year vets

So you’re talking what, 2003?

Because I know it’s not been possible for over a decade. It’s not something which went away with the launcher.

I’m pretty sure it’s the Mandela effect in action that has people remembering it used to be possible.

Is someone complaining the feature didn’t exist back in 2005

Nope, not in the last decade at least, and likely not before that.

you’re probably remembering when the logout button restarted the client and dropped you back onto the login page. But it was still a full client restart.

For once we agree completely

There’s been like 2 or 3 changes I’ve seen which no-one complained about.

If you can go the the form, and not be told you’ve already submitted, you probably ran into a timeout issue with it.

(always do the text in another application like notepad, then copy and paste it into the form, which you’ve freshly refresh)

Agent? Seriously? Agent of who?

And you’re one to talk. Sure, you’ve edited your post to be more civil now, but it started off being a bare accusation of CCP trying to game the submissions of CSM ballots, to just people they like.

And yes, the email address was wrong on the application form. Which you’d only have known, if you’d seen the form. On the web page talking about the application process, it was correct. And di...

I’ll poke them over that email there. Not that anyone who’s used the internet would think it’s a valid email.

The correct one is in the accompanying documentation.

He was complaining that the form wasn’t on the CSM page. Which it was. He just can’t read.

And couldn’t read when I told him where it was in Discord.

Yes, it’s required.

No other mechanics changes, past those listed.

The last election was something like 64 people.

Where do you cut off? It’s a huge can of worms.

Just to confirm, I am not running this year.

I hereby state, and mean all that I say, that I an not a candidate for the CSM; that if nominated, I should peremptorily decline; and even if unanimously elected I should decline to serve

I’ll mention it.

I’m not a fan of the usage of the term myself, but what he’s meaning is:
PvP where the target didn’t set out for it, but does have a chance to fight back.

So not a gank in highsec, or people roaming running into a defence fleet (consensual by his definition).

Just for reference, CCP do also talk with new players. Generally getting complete newbies to try things.

also we talk with them.

I can explain the ‘air’ at least.

Moons produced a set amount of ore per hour mined. (20,000 m3).

So that’s a multiplier on that, so you know how much of each is. so it won’t add up to 1 if they’re not increasing the other ores to take up the space.

Funny. I’ve seen a bunch of people in FW complaining about having to wait for the other person (non-faction war) to shoot first, because they do care about their sec status. Probably because they go into highsec to cash in their LP.
