Aircraft cost (purchase price) depends on place in tech tree (in relation to other machines in it).

French version is top tier in it's branch (last aircraft to unlock), which makes it more expensive than American one. If/When more machines appear after French version, price will be re-calculated.

From the start War Thunder was designed as a game, that mix all major machines of war in one place.

All modes (except Air Battles) mix machines, and Air Battles are exception only due to fact, that maps are too huge for anything else, thank aircraft.
