Game Update 7.2 brings plenty of new content to the game. Story Update - “Showdown on Ruhnuk”

In this new story update, “Showdown on Ruhnuk,” players help Shae Vizla in her hunt for Heta Kol, a rogue Mandalorian who has gathered an army of rebels under the banner of the Hidden Chain. This pursuit brings them to Ruhnuk, an inhospitable planet at the center of an electrical nebula.

Game Update 7.2a

• Increased the weekly cap of the following currencies to 2500 (up from 1500):
  • Conquest Commendations
  • Daily Resource Matrix
• Players no longer receive the error message telling them their Mission log is too full when attempting to complete the Ruins of Nul Flashpoint - Solo-Story Mode.
• The Thyrsian Mender’s weapons can now be purchased from the PvP upgrade vendors, as expected.
• The Thyrsian Targeter’s weapons are now only unlocking the corresponding upgrades in the PvP upgrade vendor’s inventory.
• There is now a visual effect on the following weapons:
  • Family of the First Seed Lightsaber
  • Family of the First Seed Dualsaber
• The following crates no longer reward Implants:

Here’s all you need to know about the Arena and Warzones PvP changes that are coming to Game Update 7.2 “Showdown on Ruhnuk.”

The goals for the PvP Revamp

Our goal is to create a positive and engaging PvP experience for all players by increasing the overall participation and quality of PvP matches and offering new incentives that benefit everyone who participates in PvP.

What are the changes?

No distinction between Ranked and Unranked play

Previously, players would queue for Warzones and Arenas in Unranked and Ranked matches. With 7.2, these queues will now be consolidated. Players will be able to queue solo or as a group for 4v4 or 8v8 matches. Additionally, with 7.2, the 8v8 queue will also allow full 8-player premade groups to queue up.

• Story Update - "Showdown on Ruhnuk" - In this new story update, Shae Vizla’s pursuit of Heta Kol and her faction of Mandalorians brings players to Heta’s main base of operations on Ruhnuk.

The third season of Galactic Seasons begins now! Like the previous editions, players will be able to progress through two different tracks: the Free Reward track or the Subscriber Reward track. Subscribers will have access to both tracks as they progress through the Season. Players can progress through these reward tracks by completing Daily and Weekly Season Objectives.

Compared to the previous seasons, a few changes have been implemented. First, the number of Tech Fragments available on the Free Reward track has been increased to 3500 Tech Fragments. Additionally, we’ve rebalanced the Cartel Coins granted through the track. For a limited time, the Bounty Brokers Association has opened its doors to anyone willing to take on their dangerous contracts, offering an opportunity for both seasoned and rookie hunters to prove their skills and bring crime syndicates and violent gangs to justice!

We are back with our second Best View in SWTOR contest! We had a fantastic time seeing all of the entries that were submitted last time, so we’re looking forward to all the creative shots our players will be entering this year.

Starting today, players can submit screenshots taken anywhere on ten select SWTOR planets. Take a screenshot of a scenic vista, a vibrant forest, a peaceful stream… and we’ll choose the screenshot that we feel captures the essence of that planet. One winner will be chosen per planet for a total of ten winning submissions. 

The winning submissions will then be turned into Stronghold decorations and distributed by the Anniversary event vendor in-game! The ten eligible planets for this contest are:
