I think the sound effect was actually nerfed a few short weeks after she came out.
Attackers found it incredibly frustrating to get flanked or swung by someone in close-ish proximity and dying because they weren't able to hear the footsteps.
If you remove the speed effect, wouldn't the Banshee just become a larger/indestructible Proximity Alarm?

What kind of nerf would you want to see come to her Banshee? I've seen some ideas and spoken with a few players who think giving Banshees a health pool that players can deplete with a grenade or by shooting it.

Two home runs for me:
Not guardbreaking minions.
Target cycling.
These 2 things make the game feel a lot better. I can now accuratrly team fight even if the 4th target is a little further i can at least aim towards them with a quick L2 click.
