Hi All, We wanted to direct you to Studio Director, Matt Firor's year-end letter. He touches on The Game Awards in the letter.

We want to echo what Matt mentioned in his letter that we won't be discussing or showing any additional information about next year's content until the Global Reveal in January, so you'll have to hang tight until then.

Hi all, we understand that the maintenance happening toward the end of the event is frustrating. However, leaving this issue unresolved is something we could not do. This is to guarantee the overall health of the mega server. We will try to keep the maintenance window as low as possible.

However, we’ll pass some of this on to the team for future consideration regarding maintenance during the tail-end of an event, if avoidable. Thanks again for your patience and your feedback.

Hi Everyone. In response to some player feedback around photosensitivity issues in the Deadlands, we will be pushing out a hotfix shortly to reduce the frequency and timing of some lightning hazards in Annihilarch's Summit. We will continue to investigate ways to improve this experience and ensure the safety of those who are potentially sensitive to these visual effects. There will be no downtime for this hotfix. Thank you for your continued patience.

Hi Everyone. Thank you again for your feedback regarding photosensitivity concerns with the Deadlands zone and the impact on players. In response to some player feedback around photosensitivity issues in the Deadlands, we have reduced the frequency and timing of some lightning hazards in Annihilarch's Summit. We will continue to investigate ways to improve this experience and ensure the safety of those who are potentially sensitive to these visual effects.

In the short-term, we would also like to share some in-game adjustment options for visual effects in ESO that may help improve your experience.

Adjust your gamma settings while in the area.

Keep your camera zoomed as far out as possible to reduce the likelihood of a bright flash taking up much of your screen.

Change your visual telegraphs coloration so you can better see where the lightning hazards are going to strike.
In addition to these short-term adjustments, we ar... Read more

Hi All. I wanted to post an update here. So we have done some investigating on our end and we do not see any issues. However, we will continue to keep an eye out if there is any way to resolve this issue on our end.

We have some indications that there are issues with internet traffic around the DC area, so that may be a potential factor here, but that is the only thing we could identify so far.

For now if you encounter this issue, it the best course of action would be to close down the client and retry. We have seen that several players have been able to get in after a few tries.

Again, if there is any additional information anyone notices when they have this error, please let us know and we can send it to the dev team. Thanks for your continued patience.

Thanks for pinging, @Khaleesi8688. We went back to the dev team and the article info was incorrect. We are updating it now to highlight only Chokethorn for the Impresario. Everything else is correct about the event, highlighted in the article about where and how players can obtain Opal styles for Chokethorn, Iceheart, Lord Warden, Nightflame, and Swarm Mother.

Hi All. Thanks for pinging. We are not seeing amoralities on our end right now. However, we are investigating to see if we can identify any issues. If there's any additional information related to this, let us know. Any additional information could help point us in the right direction. Thanks, all.

Hi @Dolphinsgal. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are passing on your experience to the Dev team to see what can be done on the accessibility front.

As @Adremal noted, we do have a photosensitive warning outlined in the Terms of Service. That has been outlined below just as a reference point. But we will take player feedback here to the dev team about the visibility of the warning and how it could be improved.

PHOTOSENSITIVITY WARNING. A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to certain visual images, including without limitation light patterns or flashing lights. Exposure to certain patterns or backgrounds on a computer, television or other screen, or while playing video games, may induce epile...

Hey @Destai. I think that is a fair question.

Currently, we are not specifically going through and closing threads by a certain date. Hence the thought behind an auto-close function. Rather, closing a thread currently depends on the thread topic's benefit to the community and the time between activity, when determining if it should be closed. (There are exceptions to this and are addressed individually.) But for a rough estimate number, about a year of inactivity would warrant a thread to be closed. Again, we want to stress that this is not a strict rule, as many of these situations could change depending on context of the conversation.

@amapola76 Yes, we are considering everyone's feedback here. To be clear, no decisions have been made. It's just something that has been on the idea board, hence why your feedback is important here. Plus, there are a few other items that need to be addressed first. Just wanted to chime in with thoughts since someone brought up t... Read more
