Not everything is dandy and rainbows. I wanna invest in the game but the latency is truly quite embarrassing. It’s hard to recommend this game to anyone with the current server /latency state. It’s even harder to wanna invest money into it which i totally would minus this main issue. Hope y’all figure something out. It’s 2020 and amazon is basically god so👌. I might have faith

I assume this has communication stuff

EDIT: I was wrong. See dev response below

Just to get ahead of this, I can confirm that our first Pre-Season update doesn't include voice chat. It's our top priority as a studio right now and we're shuffling internal resources to get it out sooner than we even originally planned, but it's not ready quite yet.

Changes:

  • Increased the time allowed for players to connect to matches as well as the time allowed for players who drop out of queue to be replaced. While some matches may now take longer to load, this change will result in fewer cancelled games.
  • Made an additional change to prevent Heart of the Hives matches starting with a 3 vs. 5 team imbalance.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused Bugg's Crop Dust [E] ability to inflict permanent vulnerability.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Summer's Magma Spiral [Q] ability to continuously apply damage to Bugg under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented profile icons from properly displaying in the Pre-Season Battle Pass rewards.

Developer’s note: Right now our focus is on resolving issues with connectivity, latency, and matchmaking as well as improving the success rate of the “backfill” feature which prevents m...

Thanks for the report - we're tracking the issue with the dummy hit boxes. In this particular case, the size of the hit boxes are out of whack.

This issue with the dummy hit boxes is different than hit reg issues seen in regular gameplay. Videos would be super useful for diagnosing those cases. Please post any links you might have!

  • Fixed a bug related to matchmaking. Players now have a higher likelihood of getting a match in their local region.
  • Updated the default game mode selection upon login. Players who have completed the tutorial will be shown Harvester Command as their default game mode when they log in. You can click on the game mode button to select a different mode.

Could we get a quick developer stream some time soon? Now that the game has officially launched it would be awesome (and comforting) to know that you guys are hearing some of the louder concerns among the community. I know it is still early and this title has just hit the market, but I think a dev stream (or something similar) will be important for retaining current players who are interested in where Crucible may be heading.

Re: developer stream (or something to that effect) - we hear you. Our focus this week (and through the weekend) is to get the game stable, but starting a conversation about what's next is right around the corner.

Hey Viper,

We're investigating. I don't have any updates to share right now. Thanks for your patience.

Another update -> we just made some adjustments to Alpha Hunters matchmaking to help improve queue times.

Post

Changes:

  • Updated the visual effects for the game mode selection button to better indicate its functionality.
  • Updated Alpha Hunters matchmaking rules to help reduce wait times.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused some players to be stuck on a black screen before loading into a match with no enemies.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some players to be stuck on a screen showing only the Crucible logo while attempting to connect to a match.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some players to become stuck on the pre-match "Connecting" screen.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Drakahl to occasionally be permanently invulnerable.

This is one of our highest priority issues. We're working on some fixes for our next update.

Played a match where the enemy team quit at the start and we had to play an entire game against no one.

This was a 4v0 match?

Updated original post with some additional changes to experience gain in Alpha Hunters.

Developer’s note: Below you’ll find update notes on what changed in this afternoon’s build. In addition to those changes, our team is primarily focused on addressing other high-impact issues that many of you have been experiencing, as well as making the game accessible to as many players as possible. We made a big stride towards global availability last night, but there are still some login issues that we’re continuing to work through. We’ve included a list of our highest-priority known issues below the update notes.

Changes:

  • Some players encounter a bug that causes them to need to repeat the tutorial in order to unlock the other game modes. We’re working to resolve the bug, but in the meantime we’ve implemented messaging for those players to guide them through the steps to getting unblocked.
  • We've been keeping an eye on matchmaking queues and have made some changes to address the longer wait times that some players ...
