Was an error on our part regarding naming

Hey, Do you guys have any plans or intentions to make a performance/optimization patch?

The boys and i are struggling with frames, frost map ruins fluid for example but the Forrest one is really slow. Otherwise we are having a great time, keep it up, it's amazing

We take optimization seriously, our last big pass was before release, but we will undoubtedly revisit it in the future.

Is there a timeline for getting 64 ppl frontline servers back?

It depends on the region, we have some slightly weaker CPUs deployed for servers in certain regions to match demand and those can't run 64p that well. EU is almost entirely 64p, we'll be adjusting for the US in the future as well.

Please let this have also fixed the loading lock up on purchasing items bug.

Unfortunately not yet, we're looking into that though.

Shit, we were so close.

Don't worry, it's coming back shortly. We had to panic patch that out because the FPS issues were beyond bad and we weren't sure how hard it would be to fix. Turns out it wasn't, and we have a proper fix for it now and will probably be deploying it soon if all goes well with testing. This one really caught us off-guard.

We've had issues with footstep sounds in the past, and they're still a bit quiet. We'll be tweaking them as we go.

For anyone unaware, I'd caution you against Googling "Von Shekelstein," but it's the last name given to a disgusting antisemitic illustration of a Jewish man that most would recognize from 4chan.

The bot was also naked, skinny, and he actually spent a lot of the time using the "cower" emote, strongly suggesting this isn't some kind of accident.

What the f**k, devs? Is it possible to have a single medieval-themed game that doesn't have some low-key alt-right meme bullshit in it? I know the devs aren't from the US so "alt-right" may not strictly apply here, but I'm not too worried about mis-labeling the political beliefs of someone who thinks that type of shit is funny.

Backer-named, unfortunately slipped past us. Will be removed. The bot names are random, but they don't actually have any behaviors associated with them, must've been coincidence.

The lag on the matchmaking servers is something to do with the matchmaker trying to connect a heap of players at once as soon as a slot frees up, so the matchmaker essentially DDOS's the servers. Marox says I'm wrong on that one.

Just to be clear, there isn't and never has been any DDOS happening due to matchmaking. The official servers had some issues unrelated to this, and were spiking in waves -- you'd see packet loss and everyone's ping skyrocket. This was what was fixed.

Hey. Agreed this is a pretty glaring flaw, we didn't anticipate the community browser would be getting this much use right away (because we didn't think our servers would explode!) but it does point out quite a few usability issues. We're going to be focusing on improving it asap in the next few days.
