There's still no censorship for kingdom names in the beta, just the onomastics tab for some reason.

It's about generator not creating bad words that then kids show their parents, who then shout at us.

You still can name your units/kingdoms any way you like

Ye they gone. The filter was made before this feature so had more default words

That's just balancing. There are evolutions based on biomes etc, and next beta update already has more stuff for it.

So if you think it sucks rn then a mini-update 1.5 years ago only introducing that one little feature without anything else would have sucked even more. That was the point.

That's the opposite of what I meant. Different species do adapt cultures and languages of other species, taking over their naming etc.

Maybe you gotta explore a bit more

Maybe but I dont really see how that would be the case. The only one that really seemed to need it would be the new species/subspecies mechanics. The culture rework, language, stats screen, mind, and other stuff all could have reasonable been made on their own first.

Nah, pretty much everything was intertwined with the new subspecies mechanic.

Just shipping languages in a mini-update? "Cheap copy of cultures".

The subspecies traits control a lot now on how the game works and provide the scaffolding for everything else - in a much nicer way than how it was before. Without it it would have been about shipping weak features.

I guess you haven't seen all the screenshots on this reddit when the filter missed something and the game generated some bad stuff.

Kids play the game.

You can however name your creatures any way you want yourself.

Because mrbeast gotta pay to be included in the game

The reason was that a culture was supposed to be acquired based on your surroundings. But balancing wise it didn't work out nicely so far.

For some reason it censors "Beast" and "Nasty"(Which is in dynasty) in my opinion there shouldn't be censorship anyway because it's a single player game.

Ok, there are some filter performance improvements ( shortening what should be censored ) that sometimes backfire.

These are 2 of the cases. Will look into it.

it’s debatable quality though because sometimes they’ll just. Stop using your names because they were born cultureless

A beta is a beta. It's there to find bugs and to finish up balancing. The "complaints" ( or reports ) are the sole purpose to have the open beta in the first place.

It would've helped the waiting period be better and may have allowed some of the systems to be more in depth since Maxim wouldn't have to juggle Subspecies, Religion/Language/Culture, Bug fixes, and Stats ui

It was not possible because every new thing literally touched/needed every other new thing

Languages, Cultures, Kingdoms, Clans, Villages, Families, and Alliances comparison seems to be working but not Subspecies. I have no idea why but it looks like they forgot to add a statistics page for subspecies.

Ok they will check

do you mean the city changed to a different culture? or that the onomastics of your culture were lost?
