@JB42222 Working on a fix
@Cheaterface Investigating
@TiiaAurora The fix should be ready by the end of the week
@JeffAHamilton I present, the work of our level designers and (I think) one rogue environmental artist but the latter wouldn't confess
@winterfoxhd Fix should be ready at the end of the week
@JayJdm87 PC Patch Notes: PS4 Patch Notes: Xbox Patch Notes:
@Skittlis If I'd had more characters with which to work, I would have added "Thanks to the QA team except for Skittle"
@AvionLukas That's so sweet
@TheEbro72 Indeed.
The current deployment underway can be summarised as:
Exploit Fixes. Mesh Biting Fixes. Exploit Fixes. Terrain Fixes. Exploit Fixes. Exploit Fixes.
Thanks to the players who turned them in. Thanks to the QA team for the fast repros. No thanks to the jerks who exploited them.
@DaytimeCoder Yes and yes. Cryo's were a nice addition for players but, imma be blunt, what we really liked about them was the fact they facilitate better performance 🕵️♀️
In the meantime, aside from the hardware upgrades and crash fixes underway, I suggest, if you are on a busy server with large bases and lots of dinos raising, only rendering those creatures in when necessary if possible. It will help.
I considered lowering rates prior to the end of the event but it wouldn't address the main cause of the issue. That cat's outta the bag. We're looking into ways to make baby timers/growth/feeding less resource intensive for the next event.
Whilst we're on an adjacent subject: Some crashes have been fixed, more upgrades will roll out BUT extended 4x is going to result in messed up dino spawns, more frequent crashes, perf issues. Primarily due to the amount of babies players are raising.
Also:
OC-PVE-Official-Ragnarok208 NA-PVE-Official-Ragnarok383 (moved to own machine and debugging a crash with it also) EU-PVE-Official-Valguero516
Some servers were moved to new machines. This means, aside from players on those servers experiencingmore stability, that those servers will have a new IP. You'll need to re-add those to your favourites and these servers will not be correctly detected on sites like battlemetrics.
We're in the process of continuing the roll out of hardware upgrades on some of our servers (those we didn't get to upgrading in the recent roll out players may recall) Included is a list of those servers we've upgraded over the past few days. More to come.
@snf_bon Working on it, a fix for that should be ready for today's deployment
@Fusion7F I did, thank you
@BeholdMunro I feel sad.
