Thanks for the support! We listen to the feedback and try to act on it and have a good mix of new things and some requested content from Vermintide 1.

I made a thread a couple of months ago about making this type of DLC. I really hope my thread had an affect on someone on the team :P. This DLC is great for the players that don't own VT1 or just loved them maps. I hope everyone else sees this as 2 cups of Starbucks coffess supporting the devs.

Do not bump / necro posts The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called 'necro bumping' or 'necroing'). If you have an issue that's new to you and no current thread exists on the subject, feel free to create a new thread... Read more

Ok, ok, I was the first trashing FS for their policy change on the match-making, it’s only fair I come with something actually constructive to propose.

Because I care about the game, I think it’s a great game and I think it could become way bigger, better and popular than it is currently, and I think that FartShark is a great small indy company full of cool people who managed to deliver a game way better looking than what you’ll expect from a company of that side, BUT, I also think they are extremely misguided when it comes to what they should do with the game post release, so here’s my suggestions.

We got 2 problems:
1) The playerbase is dwindling pretty fast
2) FatShark need to money to being able to keep supporting the game and themselves.

Why is Verminitide playerbase dwindling (and that applies to V1 too)?

Simple: No patch with new content that make you comeback and nothing interesting to work toward once you are there.

Access to three (or more?) new maps with some challenges & five new weapons/combos (one per hero) available via Okri's Challenge book.

The Viral Portrait is no longer 'Viral', I'm afraid to say.

NO-DLC users hosting, with a DLC user joining will have DLC maps, too?
Yes.

Scenario. You're the host and you're in the Keep. You do not own the DLC. Someone joins your keep via Quickplay. They DO own the DLC. Now your Quickplay pool of maps includes the DLC maps.

How does this affect games in progress? Thanks for all the clarification!
Non DLC players would not be able to join them via the lobby browser or via quickplay, but you could invite someone via the Steam UI or the ingame friend list (which is essentially hooked in to the Steam UI) to join your DLC map in progress.

If I host a lobby and I have DLC, can people without DLC join my lobby? (As in them joining through quickmatch)

The way it works is that, when you Quickplay, if you own a DLC, those missions gets added to the list of missions you can join. You can still join the base missions, and other players can still join your base missions as well. Since the vast majority of players use quickplay, it doesn't really split...

So from what I understand the way the dlc QM thing works now is if you have the dlc you have a chance of getting one of the dlc maps and if you don't have the dlc the chance you have of getting the maps is if you start a QM and somone who had the dlc is waiting for more players or looking for a match you might join them and they might have a dlc match but if you join a QM and no one who has the dlc is looking you will not get one. If that is how it works I see no problem with that you still have a small chance at getting maps if you dont own the dlc but it wont put 4 ppl who don't own the dlc in a QM together.

please feel free to correct me if im wrong but try not to fight over it.

As for the weapons I don't mind that only dlc ppl can have dlc weapons as long as they are not super OP. I personally always thought is was a strange but very generous idea to give non dlc owners a chance to get dlc weapons in VT1 but they might have been ... Read more

I've raised this with our developer who handles controller-related issues. Sorry for the inconvenience!
