We don't allow it. If you encounter this behavior, please make a CS ticket and it will be actioned.

Our EULA forbids insults and harassment. They are not allowed and are not to be tolerated.

-

Game Mechanics are not an excuse for in-game harassment or insults to other players whom are playing the game.

If you experience either in-game harassment or insults from other players, make a CS Ticket so they can be Actioned.

If you "Blacklist" a player, they will not be able to communicate with you in game or in port. Blacklist will auto-block the player if you encounter them in future matches, as well.

It stops them from continuing to message you. If the messages were bad, please make a CS Ticket so we can action it.

None of your Tickets are on-hold. Everything you have submitted on the Elijah2159 account is closed out. The most recent Ticket was responded to and closed within a day.

If you have a second account you submitted the Ticket on, please let me know. You can put the Ticket# in the post as only CS or WG would be able to access the Ticket.

We have wanted to do an update to our chat system for some time, but other priorities continue to take precedent. At the moment, you may not be able to prevent unwanted messages, but you can make a CS Ticket to make sure they are Actioned so that other players will not have to suffer in the future.

The only time I've heard of something like that was something Overwatch did. You could exclude up to 3 players from future games, and would have to rotate out names with new ones if you had issues later on. Matchmakers are complex functions that draw from what is available. Making a system with a myriad of individual exclusions is very complex as a player locking out another player could delay something for many other players as they each have their own sets of interwoven exclusions.

In general, our Matchmaker pulls from what is available. If you don't queue for a few minutes after a match, there is a strong likelihood that you may not encounter the player again. Still, if you do, having them Blacklisted would auto-block them on game start so that you wouldn't see any messages from the player.

If you'd like to learn more about how our Matchmaker works, you can check out this video:

It's been a long requested feature. If we are able to work on the Chat Coding, I'd love to see it happen.

The "HideInBattleStatus" feature was able to happen because it was some backend tweaking. This was something that came about because of Streamers being sync-dropped from others who aren't on their friendlist, so that would be another good feature to see someday <3.

Persistent change. Also, there's a Mod in Modstation called "Not in Battle" that you can use as well.

Disagreeing with game mechanics is not grounds to insult or harass a person that is playing our game. Insults and harassment are not allowed for any reason as is stated in the EULA.

As noted in the response, we unfortunately cannot share actions taken because of privacy concerns. I can give you some insight on how the system works though; we work on a pretty standard escalating offence system, so if this was the first time this person was being actioned, it would be a short duration chat ban, escalating to longer durations and eventually a permanent chat ban if the behavior continues.
I know submitting a ticket is a fair amount of effort and it sucks to not directly know what's being done as a result, but please don't feel like it does nothing; the ticket system is absolutely the best way to get something done about bad behavior in game.

I double checked your Ticket and actions were taken. Thank you for submitting it because every Ticket allows for escalations should the behavior continue in the future.

Reddit is community moderated, and the moderators over there do action based on their rules.

If you find something that is overtly toxic, you should Report it.

-

The method for dealing with bad behavior in our game is Customer Support Tickets. This is how we action things and escalate repeat issues up to and including permanent sanctions.

Reddit can certainly be a spicy place, but their Mods do action stuff which is out of line. If you see something crazy, you should Report it.

As for our side of things, we use Customer Support Tickets. Whenever you experience an issue, please make a Ticket. It really goes a long way in getting these things handled.

When you let CS know of a violation, they assess it and action it.

Your Ticket's response was:

"Hello Commander,

Thank you for contacting Wargaming Player Support. We appreciate your concerns and interest in the improvement of the game.

We will review this request and, if necessary, we will take appropriate measures according to our game rules and punishment instructions. We cannot disclose the exact measures we take due to the protection of data privacy. We appreciate your understanding. However, we assure you that violations of the Game Rules are met with appropriate sanctions.

We hope your next battles are far more pleasant and you have a great time in-game.

Thank you for your patience and time.

Kind regards."

What you reported was in violation of our EULA, so actions were merited.
