It is not a single core. Like I said above one core is 100%. Is you have 200% - it means that 2 cores are busy. And this kind of "load" is acceptable for Mac
Yeah, overheating is one of the most popular Mac problems. They are not designed to play heavy games and they do not have good coolers inside. I know so much stories about bad cooling systems in Mac... Because of overheating you have hernel_task over 300-500%, because it is trying to cool you computer.
CW is aware of this Mac issue and trying to make improvements in the wrapper.
FPS issue is well known on the wrapper and it is 2nd priority issue (1st one is to fix the crashes). CW team are working on improving the situation but till than I recommend you to minimize your graphic settings.
Please try to launch the game in debug mode. Open Terminal and start the game using thus command:

And one more. Please make screenshot of Activity Monitor with World Of Warships process. You have extremely a lot of crashes. I am starting to think the problem could be started on integrated GPU (intel HD) instead of dedicated one (Radeon Pro 560).
