We’d like to comment on some concerns around the recent announcement of the Pan-American cruiser line. First, we'd like to acknowledge the hard work and passion that community members have put into researching potential candidates for a Pan-American line, as well as other potential additions and items since before the game’s official release. We've reached out to most of the players who were involved in communications with us around this topic to clarify the situation and believe we are on the same page.
We are always happy to receive suggestions from the community for new content, but we can’t guarantee that we will be able to use such proposals. Our own Research and Game Design teams work together to build tech trees with the goal of creating a cohesive play experience. Many factors go into our decisions, such as having smooth progression in a variety of characteristics from tier to tier, the existence of blueprints, the ability to obtain accurate designs, the availability and distribution of development resources over time, as well as others. In some cases, we may also reserve certain designs as we believe they fit better into other, future line concepts or premium ship status. In this instance, we believe the current choices allow us to reach our objectives and give players a Pan-American line with interesting, cohesive gameplay in 2023.
Additionally, the creation of this tech tree line does not mean that we will not add other Pan-American ships to the game in the future. We recognize that there are many designs that are players hope to see added to our game and will continue to do research to see if they fit.
In the meantime, we hope to receive more feedback from you on the gameplay characteristics and play styles of these ships as they proceed to go through testing in upcoming updates. We’ll be updating you further on the status of development of this line as more info becomes available.
