In the new update Swamp Soil started acting solid, like normal ground, not as liquid as it was before. Honestly i like liquid-like soil better for swamps, as it could be used in details on the world, it was also a cool thing to mess around with. Tho i get why people like swamp being solid. So i made a question on what people pefered, and for now its almost equal. Because of that i had an idea: Instead of being or solid ground, or ponds, lets do both! Here are some ways how:
- World option to make it solid ground or water;
- Making it so its solid, but there are some small ponds in it;
- Making high terrain (forgot name, i play in portuguese but you'll get it) be solid, and low terrain be liquid;
- Making it solid, but if its in contact with water or it rains, it will be liquid for a period of time;
- (This one isn't really a how to make both, but it's a way to make liquid while fixing the main problem of the biome, that was not being able to grow villages in it) Making it liquid, BUT, prople can create houses on top of it. The houses would have that wood pilars suporting it (like happens in real life). Maybe even put it as part of culture;
-
Having two seperate biomes: Water swamp and Solid swamp.
These are some ideas i had. For me at least, swamp should be a extreme, hard and challenging place to live. Should be more exhausting for creatures to live, make them waste more resources and slow them down. A place that people would pefer not to cross and not explore too much. But thats only my opinion. What y'all think?
