Depending on your vision for the future of the game. You could definitely be a strong contender to reaching Minecraft’s level of builder community.

As a builder myself, I wanted to ask why was your update notes almost aggressively against the infinite flying mechanic, the community discovered? With the rebalancing of the rings of rapacity the flying wouldn’t have been infinite anyways. But now all the builders don’t have a way to get an aerial view of their builds like before.

That’s what made elytra in Minecraft so popular and powerful.

Being so adamantly against a fun and useful tool for players, could hurt the game down the line.

I understand not wanting it abused to break the games progression. But adding a ring or armor piece that a...

Well just to be clear, the update notes were mostly just us saying silly quips, we weren't actually bothered or offended by players doing that :) It was a very clever and fun build.

The infinite flying combo was nerfed simply because we found it to be too powerful and it was an unintended mechanic, though I don't think our balance designers realized how much that combo was beloved by builders specifically when we made that change. We were mostly considering its implications for normal gameplay. The reason we changed it is because it led to some extremely powerful and broken cheese strategies, in particular for skipping over obstacles or accessing areas earlier than intended.

We've seen the feedback from builders though, so the team has been discussing ways we can potentially bring back that same feel without the other exploits. Currently though we're just brainstorming as it's only been a few days.

The new content doesn't require a restart to enjoy, the game world should automatically update to add the new content :)

Thank you! It really feels good to see people so excited for our game, especially so early on in early access. We still have so much more we want to add <3

Such a beautiful build, I love it! Does your graphics card get upset at you from all those plant props being in one place? 😂

Greetings, Flameborn!

Our first update is finally here! Just a few weeks ago we were releasing our first roadmap, and now we’re already ticking a bunch of these boxes… As a team, it feels good! Our goal for each update is to include new content, new features, improvements to existing features, as well as the usual fixes and polish.

The biggest part of the update is undoubtedly the Hollow Halls. You can read more on them below, but a word of advice before you proceed: the encounters will test your mettle and we strongly recommend preparing well and bringing your best food items, as well as campfires to rest during your exploration. It is possible to run these as a solo player, but it might be a very challenging experience, and we recommend bringing some friends along. If you team up with strangers, remember that you can ... Very strange discoveries! Great finds <3

There will definitely be improvements, changes, and additions to combat over time. This roadmap is not a complete list of everything we will be doing. It's moreso a list of specific features we already have planned and are fairly confident will happen in this timeframe.

I think we probably assumed that this was somewhat implied, and that having a generic "combat improvements" node on this roadmap would be a waste of space, but in hindsight it's important enough to players that we probably should have made that a bit more clear. But yeah this roadmap is not a complete list of everything we will add in 2024, there's simply way too many things on our radar to possibly fit them all in one image. It's a list of things we already know are planned.

There's also much more stuff we're discussing internally that may or may not happen, but we don't want to make promises until we're confident in them.
