Hi @greatoldtree I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues completing the world event 'Miracle' as you are unable to pick up the lame man.
If possible could you load a previous save before you started the world event. If this is not possible could you please provide a video that demonstrates this issue. In the video we would need to see the following:
I would recommend uploading your video to a video sharing platform such as YouTube, you can then copy the URL link into this thread.
Can you also ensure that your latest save is uploaded to the cloud. If you are unsure how to do this there is a support article that you can check here.

Hi @greatoldtree the development team have been unable to reproduce this issue.
They have asked if you can go back to the location where you are unable to pick up the lame man and create a new manual save. Can you then upload that save to the cloud and let us know once you have done this.

After a thorough investigation, the development team has confirmed that they are unable to continue looking into a potential fix for this particular issue as they must focus on issues that have a comparatively higher impact on the gameplay experience.
I understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for and can only apologise.
