Hello guys,

I was having issues with DRM problem from Intel Processors of 12th generations for months now and they have finally managed to fix it according to this link:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000088261/processors/intel-core-processors.html: (https://intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000088261/processors/intel-core-processors.html)

But my issues have not changed ever since the issues with Legacy Mode and I can't seem to be able to get the game to run or start properly.

Every time I start the game, the game launches in this format, on a small portion of my screen and starts playing in a low frame rate to the point that I can wait hours on end to get to the Game Menu and select game or go to Options.
I've not seen this issue before, but I'm not sure what's been causing this issue. I've tried to maximize the screen and press ALT + ENTER but it only places on part of my screen and the frame rate is so low that it just doesn't work.

My specs are:
CPU: 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700K
RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200MHz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB
MOBO: Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4

If anyone can suggest a solution or ask more questions so we can get to a solution this would mean the world to me as I really want to play AC Valhalla, but I can't because of this ongoing issue.

Thank you for anyone trying to help with this!

Hey @vasharal

I'm sorry to hear the game keeps launching like this for you and for the delayed reply to your thread.

I would suggest to make a backup of this file somewhere and then delete the file from the folder you found it in:

C:\Users\\Documents\Assassin's Creed Valhalla\ACValhalla.ini

Once you have deleted it, try relaunching the game now.

If it hasn't resolved it for you, you can try opening that file in notepad and you should be able to check if the resolution matches that of your monitor. You can make changes in this file and save them then try relaunching the game again. Deleting the file should always just generate a default file again when you launch the game.

@grandeagle Hey there! Thanks for the images. Have you gone ahead and made sure that your resolution matches the native resolution for you monitor?

Gotcha @grandeagle.

Just out of curiosity, does this occur if you're using just your laptop screen without an attached monitor?

Could you also check to make sure you're running from your dedicated GPU?

Thank you!
