As my title said.
I used battle cruiser to escort my cargo ship, but it completely become sand bag when enemies SOTL shows up in my route.
The battle cruiser not even fight back somehow, it just keep followed the cargo ship to the end.
or it does fight back but only in close distance with front turret,
so is that my game problem or AI technical problem ?
Btw enemies AI battlecruiser escort are doing better job when countering my SotL (they can detected as well and fire in long range)

Thank you both for adding your experiences of the battle cruiser's behaviour, when escorting a cargo ship.
If you're able to capture a clip of this behaviour, similar to what's being described here by @Hwusam, it would be much appreciated. We'd like to add a video of this to a report to forward to the game team for further review.
