I have been using windows 11 now for a bit and have come across a big problem with the game saves and Anno 1800, In windows 10 I could unlink the Anno 1800 saves folder from onedrive, since windows 11 this is not possible even tried the beta, So now onedrive is getting overloaded with save files from Anno 1800. I have to disable onedrive before playing else it will munch up my bandwidth in 5-10 min, depending on the ingame save time and then before I close down the pc I have to go to Anno 1800 saves that are in the documents-anno 1800 folder and delete older ones, then when i next start the pc Anno 1800 is not uploading to onedrive for a hour..

Hiya, @trebleta!

It sounds like maybe some of your settings may have changed for OneDrive when you updated to Windows 11. I recommend checking out this Windows FAQ on how to choose which folders sync to your OneDrive, and perhaps you can exclude the Anno 1800 saves. If you're still unable to stop your OneDrive from syncing that folder, you can reach out to Microsoft Support here.

Thanks for confirming that for us, @trebleta - I understand you've not been able to exclude the save game folder for Anno 1800 from being synced through OneDrive. That sounds most frustrating!

It's unfortunately not possible to move the save file location for Anno 1800. I'd recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support to let them know you need to be able to choose which folders are synced in OneDrive - they may be able to suggest another workaround besides the one you are already using, or at least take your feedback on board.

Please let me know if you've any other thoughts or questions about this at all.
