I have good hardware (7900X, Titan XP, M.2's, 128GB RAM, Win10 1909) but every other Anno 1800 session it will lockup and then CTD with the "Crash Report" dialog and I hit send to log the crash.

Anyone else experience unusually high CTDs from this title?

Now I understand why the game auto saves frequently and the long long long bug fix list.

Is ANNO 1800 considered a "Beta" or is it an "Official Release"? When purchased I didn't see any "beta" tag or "in development" tag.

Don't get me wrong, I think the game is fantastic, worth every dime.

Cheers, Rob.

Hi robains!

When the game crashes, do you get any particular error message/code?

Do you still get a lot of crashes after going through the steps in this guide?

If this does happen again, can you set up a case on our support site and upload text copies of your DXDiag and MSInfo files so we can look into the cause of the crashing.

Hi robains, welcome to the Anno 1800 forums!

Thank you for creating a support case. I just wanted to mention I had some other players reply to me recently with DirectX related issues too.

They suggested, if you were running Windows 10 2004 version, to update it manually, as there was recently a Direct12 update issued that when updated, solved their issues.

To do this try -

Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates.

If the update is ready for your PC, you'll see a 'Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004' message appear under Optional Updates. You can then begin downloading by clicking 'Download and install now. You can check which version of DirectX you have in the dxdiag as well.

Another player also mentioned increasing their virtual memory in Windows 10, helped solve their 'DirectX Error Virtual Memory crash' issue.
