[2022] Save game issue

I have a problem loading my save games. This is the second time this has happened, but the first time it happened was on a campaign that I already finished and I couldnt google myself to an answer so I figured it didnt matter, but it happened now on a very long save game. I cant load the local saves, and whenever I load the cloud saves it is stuck on the campaign intro scene with the grumpy fisherman. I have tried validating the files, uninstalling, someone suggested putting the graphics down so I did that, even deleted the oldest autosaves and changed the frequency so they wouldnt take up literally all my harddrive as they have been doing, nothing has helped.
