Hey everyone thanks for commenting on this situation and helping bring it to light.
As it stands the games minimum required ram needed to run the game is 8mb - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-us/Article/000061892
Obviously the game has had quite a few updates since then and as the time of writing this we are on update 9.1.
Other than wheat others have already suggested, I can only stress you disable any background programs by doing a clean boot, then testing the games performance. This is one of the easier troubleshooting steps to take first and can often resolve the problem for most player where the CPU, Ram and sometimes Vram stress is too much for the computer to handle.
If you are using any other software in the background such as, but not limited to -
Full Screen Game Overlays
VoIP and Chat services
RGB controllers
Overclocking Software
Hardware monitoring
Streaming software
Peer to Peer software
VPN
We advise disabling these on start up by performing a 'clean boot', as running this software whilst playing our games has been known to interfere with our games performance occasionally.
A more detailed list of this type of software can be found here, by scrolling to he bottom of the article, this list details some of the more well known programs known to cause conflicts with our games, but this is not a complete list - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Faqs/000025721
To disable these applications from running in the background -
- Press the Windows key and S buttons on the keypad and search for Task Manager,
- Launch the app then navigate to the 'Start Up' programs tab
- Right click on any program or software that might be conflicting with the game such as the programs listed above and select 'Disable'
- Restart the computer then try launching the game from Uplay/Epic/Steam
Please test the game after closing disabling these programs on start up and rebooting the computer, if the issue still persists, we would advise opening a support case and attaching your system files so we can take a closer look - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Cases/New
